Check for corrosion or dirt around the screws that hold that board in place. the screws provide ground at several different places on the pcb that are not otherwise connected. good luck

SOURCE: NAD 272 Channel drop out

well..this is one for the books. Can you tell me what the ratings are between the 252 and the 752 impedance matching wise? even though it might work sometimes, impedance matching can wreak havoc between mismatched amps.

what are you driving from the 752 into the 252?

SOURCE: Right channel cutting out.

connect right channel speakers to amp left out if the problem fixed you will have a problem in amp itself.
if the problem remained you will have a problem in speaker itself test first with new cable and second with speaker cabinet,

SOURCE: left channel cuts out intermittently

Any good at sodering?
You have a bad solder joint somewhere!

Testimonial: "never thought of that! I just presumed it had a faulty component somewhere. Excellent advice. Thanks "

SOURCE: GS100 : Channel 1 cuts out briefly, then come

Two causes I think. 1 Bad soldering joint. 2 Dirt in a switch or volume control or other control that can be moved by hand. The option in this case would be to clean the switch/control etc with Servisol switch cleaner. Just spray it on the contacts or in the control.
I find Servisol Video 40 the best see image below:

SOURCE: cant get no sound from my Nad C162 pre amp

First prove if it's a preamp problem or an amp problem. Plug one of your sources directly into the amp for a moment and play something VERY LOW in volume. If the amp is ok it will play VERY LOUDLY.

If so, look at the preamp and make sure it's not muted or a tape is selected.

NAD C162 preamp quiescent noise level suddenly went up. Please help me diagnose?

If the noise is in both channels then you should look for something common to both channels. Capacitors are the likely cause, but some IC's might cause it. You say that the volume control doesn't effect it, if that is the pre-amp's volume control then the fault will be after that part.

Hi, I have a NAD C162 Pre-Amp which I am using with a NAD C270 Poer Amp. Th problem is that the Pre-Amp doesn't seem to be driving the Power-Amp efficiently. By this I mean i need to turn the gain up...

Hello, I have an idea:
at the rear side of the NAD preamp there is a switch, it can be in mode MM or MC . Please check it whether it is in right position or not.

Good luck,

My left channel goes out on my 533, when I touch the RCA in the back, it comes back on for a few minutes then cuts out again???

You need to replace the RCA plug with a new one. If it is on a seperate cable replace the lot, if not cut it off. There are only two wires one earth and the channel, you can't go wrong.

CD input cuts out intermittently

Can be that the CD disc is jumping on vibration, the optical head is defective and not reading the tracks or if the line to the amplifier is having a loose connection in the wires or within the RCA jack socket.
Play Cd when car is in stop , if in motion check the wiring and CD for errros.
if interuption always from the disc then the optical head can be faulty

The dashboard lights and gauges keep going off and and not working. At times every single thing cuts off, stops working and lights turn off. What could be causing this problem?

Sounds like it could be the multi pin connector on the rear of the dash module loose or an intermittent Earth connection. Check this connector as well as for a poor/loose Earth wire bolt either behind the Dash or near the Fuse Panel.

Volume and multi channel output issue

Hi there. Are you familiar with board level repair for such products ? Your problem is most likely hardware. Either some of the final output transistors are fried, or it's a dsp problem, a regulator, a diode, a transistor in the circuit.. it could be a lot of things. But if everything was working fine and it quit someday without a change in the system's setup, it really looks like an hardware issue ! Do you have a way in the manual, that sets factory defaults, a kind of reset ? A lot of such units do have that. Try to unplug/interchange speakers as well, a shorted speaker could make the amp go nuts as well, but i wouldn't bet on it. Still, i'd check that out. Hope that helps ! cheebster.
