My LG HT303 DVD Receiver's remote is not working. How can i use function key on the dvd player

press the "2" button on the remote while pressing & holding the stop button on the device, something like OP 86 will come up on the lcd display, repeat the same procedure and press "enter" afterwards, the device should restart and the problem should be solved.

If pressing the stop button on the unit doesn't work, try unplugging the unit for a few mintues, plug it back in, then press and hold the stop button again, that always work.

I agree that this is not the most superior device on the market and sound is average, but it has many advantages that others just don't offer - small size, no complicated cables, unbeatable price and has a very nice appearance, makes all other look like dinosaurs. Untill all others catch up with that, I'm keep this...

DVD shrink can't handle the copy protection on the disk you're trying to backup, use DVDFab decrypter first instead.Get it here:
http://www.dvdidle.com/download/DVDFabDecrypter29.exe

Use DVDFab to rip the files to your HDD, it will create a VIDEO_TSfolder and put all the video files in it. DVDFab is a whole movieripper only, so you're getting everything on the disk ripped to you'reHDD, once DVDFab is done, run DVD shrink. Use DVD shrink to open thefiles created by DVDFab (use the open files tab and browse to theVIDEO_TS folder created by DVDFab and choose it), at this point shrinkwill import the files, use shrink as you normally would to create yourbackup.

As for the sound, there are some players that has different volume controls for each speaker, so check the volume of the speaker through your remote.

Or maybe the sound I.C of the player is bad.

You might just loose the Player with a screw driver and you may probably see what's wrong with it and if you don't, couple it back and put it on, don't be surprised to see your player working properly.

My Samsung player hung such that no button functions. What I did was just to loose it and clean the inside and by the time I coupled it back, it started working perfectly up till now.

Note that this could only work if the player is not having any major fault.

Do an google search for your model and region hack, avoid sites that ask you to pay for the info. Not all models have hacks.
