Gets error related to lxdnlscn.exe when I push the scan button on the printer.
When I push the scan button on the printer, it gives an error that the program lxdnlscn.exe failed. The printer prints fine and can make copies, so I know it's not a physical issue with the device itself. I've uninstalled the printer, downloaded new drivers and still have the problem. I'm running Vista 64-bit.

You will need to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Please follow the steps given below:
First, unplug the USB cable. Next, please download the clean up patch from the link given below: ftp://ftp.lexmark.com/driver/inkjet_drivers/Cleanup/
Click on "CleanupUtility.exe" file.
To apply the cleanup file, copy and paste the icon on to your desktop and double click the file to run the file.
Please download and install the Windows Vista driver from the website given below in order to resolve the issue:
Please click on "Drivers & Downloads."
Select "Driver Finder" and under "Search by Model" Please enter the printer model number "Lexmark X2690" click on search.
Please use the following steps to download the Lexmark X2690 Vista driver to your desktop:
1. Select "vista_x64" from the drop down list 2. Click on "Download Now." 3. On the "File Download" screen, choose "Save." 4. The next screen will be titled "Save As." Choose to "Save in Desktop" and click "OK." 5. You should see files being transferred.
****Note**** If your browser uses a different file downloading format than specified above, you will need to resort to your browsers help files for downloading instructions. The object of steps 1 - 4 is to download the driver to your desktop. This way it is easily accessible.
6. Once the files have completed downloading, double click on the icon with your file name. 7. Please follow the on screen instructions to complete installation of your Lexmark printer.
Note: Please plug the USB cable when prompted while installing the driver. The USB cable should still be removed from the system, and the on-screen prompts will remind you of this. Eventually, you will get to a screen asking you to plug in the USB cable. This screen also has an "OK" button. Do not hit this button yet. First, plug in the USB cable. The screen should automatically detect and install the Lexmark X2600 series printer and scanner drivers.

Your manuals, drivers and scan software are on the Canon website. I can't see the buttons on the left, but if there is not one that says scan like there is on my MG7120, then the scanning is driven from the software program that comes with it. The specs just says
Auto Scan Mode, Push Scan"
which indicates to me one of those buttons is the scan button. I tried to download your manual, but it is an exe file, which is very odd.
There can be plenty of reasons behind Error code "6203". These error codes often get displayed during printer installation. It is often seen that 'Error code "6203" gets displayed mostly when the printed calibrated sheet is put into the tray for scanning purpose and push button is pressed. http://www.fixya.com/support/t5951196-kodak_easy_share_5300_printer
This may not be the solution for you, but it worked for me. I just shut down and restarted my printer a few times. It seems that if you leave it on all day and night, the printer gets stupid. If you restart a few times, it gets healthy again. It worked for me, and I had the same error message, and I just finished scanning 4 pages.
Let me explain you the real cause so that when ever you face this issue with any printer you will be able to fix this in quick time.
The scanning needs Bi-directional communication and as you are able to print and scan from the computer software fine this shows that the software part of scanning exe file is working fine.
Please try to scan from software and if this works we have to next check for full feature HP software is installed in the computer.
If you are able to scan fine from HP software check for the DIGITAL IMAGING Monitor Icon it will be a green icon in the system tray in the right corner of desktop this icon must be present to enable the scan from front panel scan button. If the icon is there right click on it and exit it and then search for hpqtra08.exe file in the computer if the file is found double click on the application file to get the icon back running on the desktop.
Once done try to scan again from the front panel scan button and check if the issue is resolved.
If the Digital imaging monitor icon is not on the desktop system tray search for the file hpqtra08.exe in the computer and excute the application file .
Even if the icon is there and you are not able to scan from the scan button we have to set the settings in the HP software
In the HP director click on settings >> scan settings >> scan to button settings there click on the Destination list button this will open a small window with Two boxes 1)Available scan list 2) front panel scan to list all we have to do is to move all the programes from the available scan to list to front panel scan to list by selecting each program and click on add to move it to right.
Once done do not forget to save the settings click on OK to save the settings once done try to scan from scan button this should fix the issue.
The Digital imaging monitor icon or Hpqtra08.exe file should be running to enable the scan function from the scan button ...
I hope this will help you in solving the all the issue in future related to scan butto not working the same steps applies to NO SCAN OPTIONS message on printer when you try to scan .....
