Hi,

These are sweet monsters. Any change or even if you play with the default settings, it would harm you :P.

Well,

In order to switch any direction :-

Ctrl + Alt + Up arrow key ( for normal )

You can use downward for different position. Same with sideways.

I hope this would fix the issue. Any further question, let me know.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Do rate the solution as Fixya, if 100% satisfied.

    Hi,

It's Impossible that the above solution would not work.

Make sure you need to press

Ctrl Alt Arrow key( Upward One ) together.

I have never seen a notebook whose display has been shifted not being cured by this.

If unable to follow the steps, format the notebook. This would bring the notebook to its default stage or go for system restore.

    Thanks.

My crt acer ac512 monitar only centre line view,c"not full view why?

there are several reasons why picture of crt monitors did not display good picture. if your monitor had horizontal line at the center of the screen?...the faulty is in the vertical deflection, check the vertical oscillator also the fusible resistors & capacitors around that section. if there had vertical line at the center of the screen?..check the horizontal deflection, horizontal output transistor also check the YOKE.

If you go to the HP support website (hp.com/support) you can download the application for your monitor that automatically switches the resolution and orientation upon swiveling the monitor form horizontal to vertical or vice versa.

Monitor is vertical display instead of horizontal display

the keys ctrl+alt+right arrow should do the trick for you. if not then right click on the keyboard and select properties for options and you will find your graphics software has its own rotational software. good luck with two year old, sounds like you'll need it.

My problem is about our lcd monitor, at first it has this vertical black color between 2 sides and i like it because it does not affect the horizontal view in my games,,but now, the black in the 2 sides...

I think your screen is set up for "widescreen".
This is also called 16:9.

I would browse the monitor's menu (where you adjust the brightness and contrast', and see if you can put it back to 4:3 (4:3 is the ratio of a TV, kinda square").

I suggest that you try that, and post back with your monitor's model. (example : Samsung T220). It should be written on the monitor.

Hi...there! Kazz,
Go to your toolbars bottom R/H corner and look for the VGA settings icon ( nVidia or ATI). Right click on that...and look for rotation settings, from there just followed the settings... Have nice day!

Horizontal lines are appearing and moving acrosss the screen of my View Sonic E50C Monitor...

What is wrong with your monitor is that the Horizontal section is going faulty, the lines you are seeing are the Horizontal Retrace lines, usually invisable in a working unit. It is often a faulty capacitor(s) OR a Diode breaking down.. in the area of the Flyback Transformer. Probably time for a new one unless ya can fix it yaself.

A thin horizontal line across the screen

I know I have seen thin lines in the past on older CRT monitors, these are usually wires which support the aperture grill. LCD is just a panel so this must be something different. What color is the line? It is probably an error in the scanning process.
