Someone (nobody will admit to having done it) dropped a cooking pot on the top of my Breadman Pro and broke the viewing glass/plastic and I need to know how to get a replacement part to fix it. Suggestions would be very welcome

hi. I had the same problem no manual and i did try a few other recipes with no luck, then i found this and have download it to my pc i think its about 58 pages so a bit large to print out..

You might have figured out how to do this by now, but here's the answer anyway.
There are two slots that the lid's hinge pins slide into. To remove the lid for cleaning or otherwise, tilt the lid at a 45-degree angle and pull it towards the front of the machine. To put the lid back, simply reverse these directions. CAUTION: Make sure that the hinge pins are completely inserted into their respective slots before carefully lowering the lid. Not doing so could bend them or break them off and would ruin the lid.
Hi- I saw your post and had the same problem. I unscrewed the lid and removed the pieces of glass measured and asked my local glass store to cut me a new circle. I brought them the sample glass (so they knew what kind to use) and they cut 5 1/8" circle that fit perfectly. It was $5. Hope you haven't tossed your yet. Thanks, Heather
I believe whoever sold it on eBay did so for a reason....it's broken. I just bought a Breadman Pro at Linens n Things for 79.99 with the 20% off coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond (those two stores are interchangeable) and I have NO problem turning it on and have successfully baked several loaves of bread without incident. I'd suggest going and buying a new one. Sorry.....

I was thinking if I could find a halogen light with the right size circle of glass to fit. Till than I'm using foil to cover the hole.
