Question about Microwave Ovens
The door on my microwave will sometimes not close correctly. As a result the light inside stays on along with the power. I have to close the door additional times to get it in the right alignment. Any suggestions?
There should be two metal curved hinges the door rides on. When these get out of alignment, you can loosen the screws/bolts on them and adjust the door, then tighten them again. Have someone hold the door in the desired position while you tighten them.
Also, it is possible, if the doors is shutting smoothly, that you have a faulty light switch that could have food/junk on it, and either not push in or make contact properly. Some of the older styles had a ring screw around the base so that you could remove and replace the switch. You can also adjust the switch with that too, by bringing it out a bit more then tightening the ring screw.
