Black marks on clothes after washing

I have tried cleaning my washing machine on 95 degrees setting with two persil tablets but the white clothes still come out with black marks on.Could you please advise me on how I can stop this happening. I have tried to remove the black gunge inside the rim of the door seal with some success but the black marks still remain. Thank You Michael Harper

Try running a few caps of CLR in the washer (without clothes, of course!) Then run a few cycles with no additives. I've heard that powdered lemonade works also. Might be safer to try first. Good Luck!
