Hi I am trying to find a couple of solutions in visual logic with a flow chart. 1st one is a triangle problem if the user does not enter a number e.g. A it will require a output to display enter a numeric value. Also if the number is not in the range from 1 to 20, this will also require entering another number. Problem 2 is a dice game with 2 dice. If two dice have the same number, the player wins 5 scores, if the 2 dice have different numbers the player losses 1 score. It should keep track of the dice numbers, Win/Loss and total scores. At the end it should show the total score and how many times he/she played

I am new to VL what I have so far is:

Input Number

Number >20

Output Please enter a value between 1 to 20

Input new number

For LineCount 1 to Number

For SpaceCount LineCount to Number -1

Output " "

For AstericksCount Number - SpaceCount to LineCount -1

Output " * "

Output ""

Which works fine, but I can't seem to get it to display the enter a numeric number if a text is entered without it mucking up

• Jazz13 May 23, 2009

Um if you read the rest of my posting you will see that I already know how to create a flow chart what I need is a solution to the rest of my problem. How can I incorporate it to display enter a numeric value without mucking up the rest of the solution. If I add a nother if statement it just displays the enter a numeric value and won't move to the next element.

• Jazz13 May 24, 2009

Thank you for that but I am wanting to know how to show it in visual logic, not visual basics. How do I represent this in a flow chart. Also and how can I add the other statement please enter a numeric value if a user inputs a text letter e.g A or B

• Jazz13 May 24, 2009

Thanks anyway but I have already done the solution in vb, but its seems to be alot harder when trying to convert it to visual logic.

I am only looking for a solution in visual logic

You would most likely find it easier to use visual basic 6 or even getting a free version of visual basic 2008 and making your own as you can add shapes and add your own actions etc to a visual basic 2008 project and would be a lot easier to help you.

I dont have the full version of the visual logic to have a proper go at creating a project

Msgbox " Enter a number between 1 to 20 "
end if
End sub

solution for problem2 dice game
dim t as variant
dim n as variant
t=0

Begin by running the Visual Logic program. When the program begins, you will see two flowcharting elements, Begin and End, connected by a flow-arrow. Click the left mouse button on the flow-arrow; the Flowchart Elements menu should pop up (as shown on the right). Select Output from the popup menu to add an output element to your flowchart. Then double-click on the newly added output element, opening the output dialog box. Type "Hello World" (make sure that you include the double quotes) in the text box, and then click the OK button. The figure on the left shows how your flowchart should look after closing the dialog box.
Press F5 to run the program. The program executes, generating an output dialog box that appears with the text "Hello World". Congratulations! You have just written your first computer program!

Hi,

Not understanding if you need the coding of the program which you have decribed:

i) Triangle problem which would have to accept a number between 1 to 20.
ii) A dice game with 2 dice.

Please find the link which would take you through a visual tutorial of visual logic through which you can create the flowchart.

Thank You

SABC Stores uses an application designed by MICT. The application allows customers to order LCD TV Sets of their specified sizes given by the area of the LCD TV Screen.

Are you looking for someone to do your work for you? Aren't most digital TV's set up as a 16:9 aspect ratio? Does that tell you anything about what the height would be, for every chosen width? However, the standard way of describing the size of any TV (especially wide screen TV's) is to measure it as a DIAGONAL size. In the case of any TV, if you apply the Pythagorean Theorem, then simply SQUARE the width (multiply that dimension times itself), and separately, SQUARE the height, and add those two SQUARED values together, then find the SQUARE ROOT of those two combined values, and you will have the exact diagonal measurement! "In the case of a right triangle (any triangle have one angle of 90 degrees), the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides."

I have a front loader MHWE3000VW12 it's giving me a code F70 Ineed to know what it means

Hi,

F70 and F71 are two logic board error codes that point at a communication error between the main logic module and the control pad (user interface and CCU), and between the motor control unit and central control (MCU, andd CCU that is main control module).
Repair is difficult, as motor, wiring and voltages from control modules must be tested.

Try first doing a reset, by disconnecting power cord or tripping circuit breaker and leaving power off for five minutes.

If that does not help and errors come back, then the best thing to do is calling the service number listed on the user manual.

Here extensive explanation of error codes and relative troubleshooting:

F70: CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT HEARTBEAT FAILURE
If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the Central Control Unit to the User Interface.

1. Check for continuity of the User Interface harness.
2. Check wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit.
3. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating.
4. Replace Central Control Unit if drum is not moving

F71: USER INTERFACE HEARTBEAT FAILURE
If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the User Interface to the Central Control Unit.

1. Check for continuity of the User Interface harness.
2. Check wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit.
3. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating.
4. Replace Central Control Unit if drum is not moving.

To get parts and diagrams try entering the full model number in one of the websites below:

Enter the model number ..

To contact a repairer, call the number listed on the owners manual or use the Fixya directory (US only)

Thanks

Compute the area of triangle

Hi nanaeden

Use the formula depending on what is given
If one side and vertical height from that side to the opposite vertex is given, use the formula 1/2 of basexheight
If 3 sides of the triangle are given use the formula
sq root of [ s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)] where a,b, c are the 3 sides and s is semi- perimeter.
Familiarise with formulae to solve Maths problems.
Have a nice day

Flashing airbag light

yes, go here for more help. There is a file on how to download codes and clear system.

The number of flashes is giving you a lamp fault code, LFC. What is it giving you?

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/villagerquest/

Diagnostic Test Modes Without Scan Tool
Two mode options are available under the diagnostic test modes:
• user mode.
• diagnosis mode.
The ignition switch is used to alternate from one mode to another.
Diagnosis Mode
The diagnosis mode will display any fault present in the system. The SRS will not enter diagnosis mode if no malfunction is detected.
User Mode to Diagnosis Mode
NOTE: The SRS will not enter diagnosis mode if no fault is detected in user mode.
1. Ignition switch to ON.
1. After the air bag warning indicator lights for seven seconds, set ignition switch to OFF within one second.
1. Wait more than three seconds.
1. Repeat steps 1 through 3 three times.
1. Ignition switch to ON.
Diagnosis Mode to User Mode — After Repair
1. Ignition switch to OFF for at least one second.
1. Ignition switch to ON.
Diagnosis Mode to User Mode — During Diagnosis
NOTE: If switch from Diagnosis Mode to User Mode is required while diagnosing a fault, carry out the following procedure.
1. Ignition switch to ON.
1. After the air bag warning indicator lights for seven seconds, set ignition switch to OFF within one second.
1. Wait more than three seconds.
1. Repeat steps 1 through 3 three times.
1. Ignition switch to ON.
Clearing Lamp Fault Codes
NOTE: Lamp fault codes must be cleared from memory before proving out the system.
NOTE: When a new RCM is installed, the air bag warning indicator will operate in user mode. Switching to diagnosis mode is not required.
To clear lamp fault codes after a repair, carry out the procedure to switch from diagnosis mode to user mode. Once in the user mode, the lamp fault codes will be cleared from memory.
Lamp Fault Codes
If the air bag diagnostic monitor detects a current fault, the fault code will be displayed with a flashing sequence of the air bag indicator. The fault code consists of:
• A start signal to indicate the beginning of a fault code.
• A number of flashes indicating the particular code that has been set.
The start signal:
• begins with two seconds off.
• two seconds on.
• off.
• one second on.
• two seconds off.
Following the start signal, if any current fault is detected, the fault code will be displayed. The fault code:
• is a series of half second flashes of the air bag indicator.
• is followed by the start signal.
The start signal and the code for any current fault will repeat until the ignition is switched off or the air bag diagnostic monitor is switched to the user mode.
Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern by checking the air bag indicator in the instrument cluster. Refer to Prove Out in this section.
1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage using the following chart.

Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
• Damaged air bag diagnostic monitor bracket
• Open fuse
• Damaged wiring harness
• Loose or corroded connectors
• Circuitry open or shorted
• Damaged shorting bars

1. If the concern is not visually evident, enter the system Diagnosis Mode.
1. If no DTCs are displayed in the Diagnosis Mode, proceed to the Symptom Chart in this section.
1. If DTCs are retrieved, proceed to the Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor Fault Code Table in this section.

Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor Fault Code Table Code Component/Fault Description 0 Normal Operation/No Fault Detected 1 Front Passenger Safety Belt Pretensioner 2 Driver Air Bag Module Circuit Is Faulted 3 Front Driver Safety Belt Pretensioner 7 Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor Fault 8 Passenger Air Bag Module Circuit Fault 9 Low Battery Voltage

Find largest number given three numbers in visual basic

enter a;
enter b;
enter c;
if a>=b and a>c
print "a is the greatest number"
then if b>=a and b>c
print "b is the greatest number"
then if a=b and a=c
print "a, b, c are equal"
if not print "c is the greatest number"

this is pseudocode.. or my drunken attempt to remember pseudocode... but I think the logic could work.
