Best i can say is to try and get a loan of another keyboard if you can. They can also be bought very cheaply too.

You will probably need a PS2 keyboard or maybe a USB to PS2 converter.

Cannot use usb keyboard and even in the bios setup.

cannot acces to bios, cleared the bios
how did you do this if the keyboard was not working ?
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the Delete or the F2 key

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the using arrow key scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

Hi

you could try to press F8 on startup eg press power key then press F8 holding down for a few seconds and hopefully it will take you into some repair options

i would try the last known good configuration option to start with
then windows will restart and try to repair it back to when it was good

and if that dont work try the safe mode/system restore

hope you get it sorted

many thanks

My laptop is asking for a password for a pheonix securecore tiano setup and I don't no the password how do I get into my computer??

This is the password to enter your bios, if you reboot, does happen again?

is there anything pressing on the keyboard or a stuck key?

to access the bios, you general have to press a specific key when you first power on the PC i.e [DEL] or [F2] or [F12]

I got a new key board it was working yesterday when i kept switching my pc on and off but today it wont work what cud i try

Hi

Please check whether your keyboard is properly plugged in to your computer. If it is plugged in properly then try and change the slot of the keyboard(if its a USB port keyboard). If this doesn't help then try to check the BIOS settings for keyboard settings.
To enter BIOS settings press DEL key continuosly or F8(Function key 8) continuosly until the BIOS menu appears. Under the menu select the option of Hardware->Keyboard-> check whether it is enabled or disabled. If it is disabled then enable it.

Try using this keyboard with another Computer, if it doesn't work with other Computer as well then you can get it replaced for a new one.

I have a dimension c521 dell desktop and I cant boot the system it says keyboard failure and it have only usb connections.. I tried few different keyboards but same story pls help me

There must be a PS2 connector for a keyboard. Use this and enter in the bios and change the error reporting at keyboard missing to none.

The enter key of my laptop sudden stopping working?

I would try getting some compressed air. Sometimes called canned air.

1915830-4u4zdtshcqwq1u3gjz1kqwnk-5-0.jpg Blow inside the keyboard, under and around the enter button and see if it helps. Do not hold the can upside down or sideways while spraying! It shoots out as ice and can hurt things further!
