You may need to set the handset in the base for 30 seconds. Press the page/find button on the base, if you have one on your model.

You should also verify that you have power to your base. Make sure that it is the base, and not an extra charger, if you have more than one phone!

Good luck!

Why do both phones indicate no line?

Check the phone connection on the master unit. Ensure the phone cable is good, and that the plugs are tight. If this continues, unplug the phone from the outlet and wait a few minutes. Plug the cord back into the outlet and see if you get a dial tone.

You may need to test your line with a different phone to ensure your phone line is active.

I just bought another handset (DCX150) to use with my Uniden DECT1580 phone and cannot get it registered for use. The phone is completely charged but after holding down the # key for 30 seconds (as...

I had the same problem with the same equipment and I found this on the web. It worked well for me.
* Remove the base unit's phone from its cradle.
* Unplug the power from the base unit.
* press and hold the FIND button on the base unit, then, while continuing to hold down the FIND button, plug in power again. The CHARGE light should then be flashing. You can release the FIND button.
* press and hold the # (pound) key on the accessory phone you are attempting to register to the base unit and hold this phone OVER and NEAR the cradle/charging prongs until the phone goes through the registration process. (again, don't set the accessory phone in the unit, but just hold it near the unit).

Good luck!

I have a Motorola L404 cordless phone. i bought an additional handset. I cannot get it to register with the base unit. It just keeps saying "registration failed"

On the Motorola L404 series, to deregister all handsets you unplug both the phone and power to the base station. Press and hold the 'find' button while plugging the power back in. The display will show "CL". Continue to hold the find button till the display shows '00' and all the handsets will show 'unregisterd'. You then proceed by registering all your handsets again in the order you want them listed.

Just bought an additional handset for GE 27951 expandable 6.0 DECT Cordless. I press and hold the Page button for 5 seconds but the new handset will not register. Error keeps occurring "no base."

This exact thing happened to me. Same model number. No matter what I did, the new handsets would not register.

The solution? Reset the entire system:
1. On the BASE - Unplug from wall both power and phone line. Unplug battery from base handset.
2. ON the Extension phone - unplug from wall and unplug battery from handset.
3. Wait AT LEAST 5 minutes.
4. Plug back in BASE power.
5. Plug back in BASE phone line.
6. Plug back in EXTENSION handset battery. Don't plug in BASE handset yet.
7. Follow steps to program EXTENSION. When successful:
8. Plug back in BASE handset battery.
