Question about Alpine Car Audio & Video
I have installed a car stereo. the head unit is JVC mod.KD-DV6105. this unit is also a DVD player. i have also installed an Alpine screen mod.CVA-1000e. The head unit and screen are both working. However i cant get a video image on the screen. it says something about a safety warning. There is a green wire coming from the head unit which says it needs to go to hand break. I have been told if this wire is sent strait to earth that it will allow me to view video image with the car in motion. advice on this problem or wiring diagram for both units would be a great help. thanks
Grounding the brake wire will allow you to view video while driving but may require an sequence (on off on or whatever it calls for) to turn on video playback so i suggest grounding the wire and putting a small toggle switch on the wire. i have done this in many cars during my strent as a professional car audio installer

I had the same problem with my in dash JVC unit...i did not connect the brake wire and the screen would just go blank....so i send the brake wire to a ground and problem solved..no need to get a switch cause its ground not power.. let me know if it works for you.. Paid_nj@Yahoo.com
