Remove the telephone from it's base; then remove the battery cover; disconnect the battery.
With the battery disconnected, press the power button on the telephone to fully discharge it.
Wait 2 minutes to be certain the telephone is fully discharged, then reconnect the battery and replace it on the base.

This will get you to the point that you can go out and purchase a replacement battery for these panasonic cordless telephones.

You can open messages and choose the option to MARK all the messages on the BOX -ONLY if you want to delete them all.
Once marked choose the option to delete them fully.

It's time for a replacement battery. Cordless telephone batteries can be purchased at most places that sell cordless telephones, or battery stores such as batteries plus.

A test for this is that you can swap the batteries with handset 1 and see if the problem follows the batteries.
Does it appear to be charging when on the cradle?
Attempt to charge Handset 2 on the charging cradle you have for Handset 1.

When I went for batteries for MY KX-TG5632, I found they were $20.00 each. I also found I could purchase an entirely new telephone system (base and 4 satellites and chargers, five complete wireless telephones) for just over $95.00. So, I dumped my otherwise perfectly good, but old, telephones and bought the new system.

If you want to get new chargers and batteries, www.batteries.com is a good place to start ... You can go to many of the Big Box stores, Radio Shack has a good selection and there are many other fine retailers where you can purchase these batteries, including several FixYa.com advertisers.

You can buy replacement handsets only for £30. Search on google for Replacement Batteries for ID937 and different sites will come up.

IF U HAVE THE UNIT FOR LESS THAN A YEAR, U SHOULD BE ABLE TO CALL THEM AND GET FREE REPLACEMENT FROM THE OEM. BUT IF OVER A YEAR THEN I HOPE U BOUGHT AN EXTENDED PROTECTION PLAN AND THAT SHOULD COVERED IF U DID, IF NOT THEN U PROBABLY HAVE TO BUY NEW ONE----
