Question about Baby Gear

Tire blew on putting a little air in.

On the model #30041 Jogging Stroller by Hauch - fun for kids stroler...all three tires were almost flat...so filled up with air on all the tires but the last one blew...filled with air...well below the psi that was needed. Who is responsible for this....I think it was faulty. Bought a couple of years ago...can anyone help. Need a tire for this stroller.

The stroller tires still have lots of tread...did not use mush...so they should go for a while....and If I was to buy new tires might as well buy a whole new unit...the price of tires is high...

If you have run a long way your tyres should have been worn out even if you fill the air within preferred psi.so i suggest you to buy new tyres ..but remember everytime you change the tyre be sure the wheels are tightened at preferred torque since uneven torques are also responsible for easy worn outs.

The back rear tires will not keep air in them. How do I fix them or do I need to replace them? (Baby Trend Jogging Stroller)

More than likely there's a leak, maybe small but enough to cause a flat.

As for tubes your local bike shop may carry the 12" or the 16" depending on the stroller make and model. Check the side of the tire to see if you can identify the size, if not the stroller manufacturer or the site should give you more information.

The tires with these jogging strollers come off fairly easily with any regular bicycle tire levers. Although it's possible to take them off by hand, if it's difficult any bicycle shop would carry standard bicycle tire levers. I personally recommend the life time warranty tire levers by Pedro. They are very strong and designed to take off some of the beefiest mountain bike tires.

It would also be good to have spare tubes. You can find bulk tire tubes on eBay for cheap!

One of the back tires on my baby trend columbia stroller is flat. I cant find a hole anywhere. It seems like it may be a problem around the thing that you put air in....any suggestions??

If you pump the tire again with enough air and put your ear against the tire you may be able to hear the air escaping.

If it's a slow leak you may not be able to hear it but any bicycle tire levers will allow you to take off the tire. More than likely you pinched the tube or punctured with a sharp object in use.

I usually recommend replacing the tube completely, the cost & ease of replacing the tube is better than using the patches which I find it a headache to deal with smaller wheels especially for any jogging strollers.

Foot rest for a Schwinn jogging stroller

Schwinn and InStep are two of the leading brands for Jogging Strollers. Inline with their products are the Juvenile Sports, Bicycle Child Trailers and Jogging Strollers suitable for kids and infants.
Usually the frames, tubes, tires, wheels, fabric and hardware are replaceable on our strollers. Different models might have different parts that can be replaced. You can order replacement parts by calling the Customer Service Department at 800-242-6110 and speaking with a representative.

You can also check out this web site for more places and information on parts: http://www.1st-babies.com/joggers_strollers_trailers/Where_Do_I_Get_Parts_For_A_Schwinn_Jogging_Stroller.shtml

My jeep jogging stroller has a flat. Do I need to

Replacement tube may be more beneficial even though the fix/patch may be cheaper. If you live in an area that have varying climate, the patch along with the repaired tube can expand and contract and may cause small leak if not repaired properly.

Otherwise I would get the right size tube, most jogging strollers are either 12" or 16" tube inside and can be bought from your local bicycle store. With that, you'll need bicycle tire levers which can also be bought at the bike shop. Just about any type of tire levers will do. Of course I'm sure your bike shop can do this for you to possibly for free with a purchase of replacement tube!

Unrepairable inner tube

True Goo inner tube sealant! Go to a bicycle repair shop with your stroller, and honestly, have all the tires shot up with this goo and then pumped up to your desired firmness...

I have a different jogging stroller, but I know the Maxi Cosi's Mura has the same air pump access as other bicycle tires like my jogger does. I kept getting flats, and this goo has kept my tires firm for 6 years now, I used to have to bring along a pump, but never again after this repair, it plugged up a small leak for one of my tires that kept going flat quickly and keeps the others from the eventual softness that was recurring.
