I have the sam problem. My Mits WS-65909 rear projection HDTV won't stay on for more than a few seconds. I followed Slinteriors advice and held down the device and menu buttons on the front panel. The LED blinked twice followed by a pause and then blinked twice again. This pattern repeated itslef until it had blinked twice 10 times, with a pause in between each time. Please advise on what this error code means.

I have the same problem and the repair man came out and diagnosed a code 22 (blinking in sets of 2, repeating). He then stated this was a convergence problem. I'm not sure what this means, but the repair form (he left the estimate and is coming out this morning to do the repair) reads as follows: 'Convergence repair, STK's & open pico fuse'. The repiar estimate is $420 plus tax. I hope this helps!

Try pressing in both the menu and device/input buttons in together on the front of the set and hold for 5 seconds to see if the led will blink a two digit error code such as 2 blinks then a pause then two more blinks followed by a pause which would indicate a 22 error. Then let me know what the blink code was if any.

The t.v will not stay on after being on for about 5 seconds.

do the self check model indicated has.

when power light comes on and then goes off: On front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons in at same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

This will indicate what kind of problem set has.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

My 65 inch projection TV turns off within a few seconds when I turn it on. Why? No pictures or sound.

If power light does come on and a few seconds later it goes off---do the self check that the WS65909 MITSUBISHI should have:

On the front of the set press and hold both the MENU and INPUT(OR DEVICE) BOTH FOR 5 SECONDS AND THEN RELEASE BOTH BUTTONS.

Power light should blink a two digit code--error code---for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks.

Let me know what code you get----it will repeat it several times---and I will tell you what it means.

We have the dreaded blinking green "timer" light after we unplugged the WS - 65909. We can't get it to reset according to the owner's guide instructions.

The Digital module must be repaired. It is not booting up. When first plugged in the LED in that set will blink for 70 to 90 seconds. That is the amount of time it takes for the digital module to boot up. If it continues to blink past that time the module is belly up and needs to have some capacitors changed in it. Most reputable shops can do this in your home and average cost is between $150 and $250 depending on where you live.

I suspects you have bad convergance IC's

It takes a good tech around 3 or 3 hours to take the old ones out and solder in the new ones. Also, it is likely one or two resistors are burnt and will need replacing as well.
Don not run the tv till you have it fix you will cause more damage!
