OPEN THE REMOTE CONTROL FOR THE TRUCK AND FIND THE SMALL CONTACTS ON THE BUTTON THAT DISARMS THE VEHICLE. TAKE A PAPERCLIP AND JUMP THE TWO SOLDERED POINTS FOR THE BUTTON. THIS SHOULD GET THE TRUCK GOING, SO YOU CAN DRIVE IT TO AN ALARM PLACE. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

SOURCE: need new keychain alarm button

Is this a factory installed alarm system? If so, unlocking the driver door with the key will allow the car to start. If not then you will have to remove the aftermarket alarm system to start the car.
If you have a factory alarm system you can get a new FOB (key chain alarm button) from a ford dealer, but it must be programmed using a scanner , before it will work in your vehicle.

I have a 1996 ford Explorer with single button on key fob and it has stopped working can I Bypass the alarm/immobilser and take it out of the system alltoghether

if its a factory alarm you can not bypass it, it goes through the computer however a one botton alarm is usually an aftermarket starter diable try finding the starter relay if it looks different replace it with a regular relay if its not just a relay you might want to look under the dash for a smaller size box and find the name of the alarm company and look on there website on how to disable it

1996 ford explorer anti theft wont let car start when battery die

Do you have a keyless entry? You could try to enter your vehicle using the keypad on the drivers side door, This should turn off the anti-theft security.

Explorer seat

You need a new or used passenger seat tilt lever. Mine broke also. There are a couple on sale on EBay for $30.00. See link, otherwise you can buy new from Ford for about $75.00.
