My 04' Chevy 5500 truck with 6.6 ltr. duramax lost power twice while climbing the highway in the Yukon territory. Pulled off the side of the road at idle, throttle would not take engine past 2000

Did the check engine light come on ?
Could have been a restriction in the fuel line or a problem with the throttle position sensor among other things.

Jaguar xj8 2004 (x350) when driving at slow speed (50 -80 Kmh) the gearbox undecided which gears to use. Rev counter goes slightly faster and slower. Problem goes away when driving faster. Also lumpy...

sounds like the torque converter is going out...I remember on some of the xj8 and xjr models in the x350 class had these issues...the signs were a surge in the rpm cluster at about 50mph and when you attempt to pass or kick down it will ****....but as you get higher in speed it eventually smooths out...This is my insight for your issues...If it was the transmission control module it would throw a definite code.....Usually this issue with the converter was with the earlier vin models ranging in g00 to g400 numbers....and a few others

I have a 2004 duramax, when i get on it to pass it will only get to 65mph and then loss of power and pedal goes to floor.

This is usually caused by your fuel filter plugging. I had the same thing happen. If I recall right It's called "limp mode" when the engine is starving for fuel, so it won't go over 65mph. If you stop and shut the vehicle off it usually resets when you restart it. I changed my fuel filter and it worked fine. Hope that helps.

Will a transmission from 2003 duramax fit in a 2004 duramax?

They will deefinitely providing the 2 are the same model. In 2004 the Allison tranny was available in a 5 or a 6 speed. Before 2004 only the 5 speed was used. If one is changed for the other there will be shifting issues and codes set in both the ECM (engine control computer) and TCM (transmission control computer). Make sure you are putting in a 5 speed Allison tranny.

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala. I just recently noticed that I have heat while the car is moving but once I stop at a traffic signal the heat goes away and the water temp goes up on the gauge.

Check your coolant level. This will happen when air passes through your system; the engine will heat up rapidly, and the heater will go away. You do not want to run it that way, otherwise you'll be dealing with severe engine damage. If your coolant level is good by chance, you may have to look at replacing your water pump, thermostat, or both, but I'm confident that your are dealing with a coolant issue.

Is there a fuel cut switch or sensor on a 90 mx6 gt that cuts the fuel at higher boost levels than stock if so where can i find it on the car? i have the same problem when i hit 10 psi the engine stop,how...

i don't think there is a fuel cut switch but there definitely is a fuel pressure regulator. the stock specs call for the system to make more like 30 psi, so if you are only getting 10 psi there is a problem. you might check for clogged fuel filters. if you mean that you are going 10 psi over stock then might be the fuel pressure regulator that's causing you to not be able to, maybe you can get one that lets you pass more fuel, that would be an aftermarket part. hope that helps

Boost stalls for a sec a 6 psi

Is this after the engine has warmed up. Is it intermittent. How are you on PM's (oil changes), Have you looked for any air leaks from the turbo, the air cooler, to the engine?
