It sounds like phone off profile. You can check the settings from the desktop in profiles (megaphone icon) and change or reset as required.

Arabic

I found this posted, hope it is helpful.
Click menu, go to tools. Tools has a spanner symbol. Its the first icon on the second line of your phone menu.

Click settings. Settings, also has a spanner symbol. Its also the first icon on the second line of the Tools menu.

Click General. General is the first on the list under settings.

Click personalization. Personalization is also the first on the list under General. It has a paint symbol/icon with red, green and blue dots.

Scroll down by pressing the down navigation button four (4) times and you will get to language.

Click it and the first option on the list is "Phone language". Press it and you will see a list of your phone languages, scroll to Arabic and select it and that would be all.

Follow the above direction and you will certainly get to Arabic language under the phone language.

I've used the internet but do not have free access, I know have a small blue icon at top of screen which looks like a 'blue dot with signal lines coming from it, which I cannot get to go away?! please...

Looks like your wifi is on and is set to the default internet option. Turn off the wifi first by going to the wifi icon in your menu and tapping the wifi circle in the middle.
To change the internet profile i.e. 3G go to menu/internet/settings/internet profiles and choose your preffered option, normally you will need to request internet settings from your network provider by sending a text.
The blue icon you speak of is tells you wifi is on this should go away once wifi is deactivated better to do this as wifi eats up the battery on this phone big time.

HOW CAN I USE MY MOTOROLA A1200 WITH MY DESKTOP AS A MODAM...?

you will find your driver here (http://www.nodevice.com/driver/company/Motorola.html) then Step One (Clear all other profiles on the phone to avoid confusion):
- Turn On Phone
- Click the Menu Button at the top left corner of the screen
That should bring up the icons for all the applications
- Tap the Setup Button
- Scroll Down to Data Network
- Click Data Network
Internet Profile Page appears
- Delete all profiles on the page
Step Two (Clear all other profiles on the built in browser):
Note: My browser on this phone is called Monternet, I picked up
the chinese version, so it might be called something different.
- Tap the Menu button on the top left corner of the screen
- Tap the browser icon, Monternet
This opens the browser
- Tap the three lines on the button right corner of the screen
- Tap Setup
Which brings up another menu
- Tap Profiles
Profiles screen appears

How to put phone on ******** only, without any ringtone, nothing in guide gives u details regarding how to change call profiles i.e. silent, ******** etc.

2 options.. from main screen, hit settings, go to sound & display, pick & choose in there or if u slide the home screen over so u see the right side of it, just tapd the far right icon, it will change from blue (ring) to a weird buzzy thing (vibrate) to a speaker with line thru it (silent mode). Yea, documentation a bit lacking, i found this quick link icon by complete accident!

I can't get my speaker to work

If it's not an issue w/ your speaker it self (can you hear on the phone? But, just can't hear the sound effects?), it is probably an issue with your sound profile. Go in the main menu and look for the speaker looking icon. Click on it and then click on the "loud" profile. If it still does not make sounds, you may have make sure that the profile is set up right by going into the sound profile menu and then hitting "advanced" at the bottom of the profile selections. You can see all the different settings for each function (e.g. email sound) on the phone. Make sure you don't have anything set to silent or vibrate.

Hope this helps,
Bill

How do I enable the ringer on blackberry 8700v.

From the desktop you choose profiles (speaker icon) in brackets you will see your chosen profile, yours sounds like off. Press tracker wheel to choose and you have the pop menu will a list of different profiles - I would choose normal for now (you can always change this at a later date) and it will change to (active)

W910i strange icon!

Most probably you have enabled a special profile for your phone. eg. meeting, or in car profile.

Just go to settings... profiles... select profile...

You will see that most probably, you have selected one profile other than normal. Select normal profile again and the icon will disappear..

Hope this helps.
