you need to check the operation of the power switch in the computer bios. See if the setting is set for a certain time period for shut-off. If it is change it to immediate shut-off or the shortest time possible. If you have the motherboard manual it should be listed in there, under power on and off settings. If this does not solve the problem, you may have a defective power switch and need to have it replaced.I hope this helps you with your problem.

Go into the system restore and choose a date that is before the problem started happening and then let the computer reboot back into windows. Once it does then try to shutdown like normal and see what happens.

You can change the pc from the dealer where you have bought. Since you have used only 2-3 days your computer can be replaced.

1. 1st you have to know if the current mother board will accept the Duo core processor.
2. the i5 processor is newer technology and may have advantages over the Duo core processor such as speed and computational integrity i.e. being able to do more calculations per second also bandwidth . not be able to crash as much due to the amount of programs running.

Need a prossesor for motherboard

You can also use any other intel 775 socket processor as well. The dual cores are at the top of the list for performance that are compatible with that board, but if you're looking for a cheaper solution, I have that board with a 3GHz pentium 4 and it runs great. Here's a list of all the processors you can use.
Intel Pentium 4 (2.66 - 3.80 GHz)
Intel Celeron D (2.53 - 3.60 GHz )
Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition
(3.20 - 3.73 GHz)
Intel Pentium D (2.66 - 3.60 GHz)
Intel Pentium Extreme Edition
(3.20 - 3.73 GHz)
Pentium Dual-Core (1.40 - 2.80 GHz)
Intel Core 2 Duo (1.60 - 3.33 GHz)
Intel Core 2 Extreme (2.66 - 3.20 GHz)
Intel Core 2 Quad (2.33 - 3.00 GHz)
Intel Xeon (1.86-3.40 GHz)
Intel 'Core' Celeron (1.60 - 2.40 GHz)

Like to upgrade I have DG 965 RY LGA 775 Socket

Hi, your motherboard supports several different kinds of processors. You have a choice of two for the fastest performance. You could go with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor #E6700 that runs at 2.66 Ghz with a front side bus of 1066 Mhz and 4 Mb L2 cache, or you could go with an Intel Single Core Processor #670 that runs at 3.80 Ghz with an 800 Mhz front side bus and 2Mb L2 cache. The Core 2 would outperform the Single Core, but it is more expensive. Hope this helps! Hal

Upgrade problems

The p23g V1.0 motherboard doesn't support the core duo processor. Do not try to install it or you may damage either the board or the processor.

The p23g V3.0 support also the core duo processor

Follow this link and you can see for each motherboard the different processor used.

My suggestion is that you use the p29g
