Question about HP PSC 1510 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My HP PSC 1510 All-in-one wont recognise the new print cartridges I just put in, even though they are HP brand cartridges. I used to use Ryman and Tesco ink cartridges no problem. I have also recently shipped the printer from the UK to New Zealand. It is printing with the old Ryman and Tesco cartridges in but refuses to recognise the HP cartidges. Has it been damaged during shipping? It does seem to be working fine otherwise.
I understand your concern, the cause for this problem is you are trying to install the cartidges which belongs to different zone. This is due to regionalization of the cartridges. As you have bought the printer from UK you should get the cartridges from that zone only.
Click here to know which zone UK belongs and which cartridge is compatible with your printer. From the link you can find UK belongs to zone 2 and New zealand belongs to zone 1. So return the uncompatible cartridges and replace it with zone 2 cartridges.
