The refrigerator and freezer seem to be keeping the foods at the right temperatures (freezer foods are frozen and refrigerator foods are cold (and not perishing). The motor runs frequently and almost sounds like its grinding and struggling.

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

My refrid keeps tripping the gfi breaker . I have replaced the gfi but problem continues. Is this most probably a refrigerator problem or a house wiring problem ?

It depends on the GFI size. The refrigerator draws 9.9 amps. If you have a GFI that is too close to this, it will pop. Don't over rate the receptacle unless you have the wiring to match. You could always put in a regular receptacle.

Humming sound? motor or fan constantly running

Hi, It is the evaporator fan motor you are hearing. The motor is the only thing that shuts off when the door is open. The fan motor is located behond the rear panel inside the freezer sections.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Noise at the top, constant

Are you saying you get the noise even when the refrigerator is not cooling? If you get the noise only when the refrigerator "runs", it is the fan as you suggest.
