Question about Craftsman Garden
I have a Craftsman 5.0HP rear tine tiller and the left tire/wheel does not turn. I see axle turning, but tire/wheel does not turn. The cotter key (not sure what else to call it) outside of hub was gone, but I put a piece of steel thru openings, but still the tire/wheel does not turn.
You need to remove that wheel and replace the key stock
the axle and wheel should have a factory slot cut in the drive axle and wheel itself
1/4 inch key stock is the most popular and it can be found at most hardware stores.
You also could have what some would call a half moon keyway in the center of the shaft which you cannot see untill you remove the wheel.
