Question about Skype IM
I have a Toshiba Tecra 8000 with 4 GB HD with 256 MB RAM running at 133 Ghz about ten years old it runs basic skype ok but slows up terribly when I use the video. Would it help to upgrade my RAM and if so how much RAM would you recomend? also what is the general minimum spec's requirement for running Skype with video.
You absolutely need more RAM. I have 2.4GHz processor with 2GB RAM and Skype video runs pretty smooth.
Since your computer is 10 yrs. old, you may not even be able to install enough RAM to make it "good".
If I can be of more assistance, use the Comment button to reply.
Thanks for using Fixya.
