If the wii still functions, the only time the blue power light is on is briefly when unit is turned on, inserting a disc, or using the power button it will also light briefly when you get a message on wiiconnect24....hope this helps....shia

Syncing your Wii-mote to your Nintendo Wii

So you just bought a new Nintendo Wii Remote Controller but when you click the power button the four blue lights at the bottom just blink huh? Well that just means your Remote needs to be synchronized to your Wii.

Here are simple step by step instructions to do so.

1) Turn on your Nintendo Wii.
2) Open the door on the front of your Wii covering the SD card slot and the SYNC button.

3) Open the battery compartment on the back of your Wii-Remote Controller.

4) Press the red SYNC button on your Wii.
5) Press the little red SYNC button on your Wii-Mote.
6) Wait until a solid blue LED light comes on on one of the four lights at the bottom.
7) If it doesn't work the first time, try again.
Your Wii-Mote should now be synchronized.

Remotes will not sync with console

Hi there, this information comes straight from Nintendo's website. Anything I'd be typing would basically be repeating what comes from Nintendo directly:
Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into the wall outlet.
Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This will clear all the syncs on the Wii, allowing you to get a clean start to begin the process described below.
After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:
With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the batteries.
Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote will blink.
Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console (picture).
When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

5) The directions state to 1st press the wireless USB dongle reset/Sync button, then the so called Start button on the board, which did not work 100 different times.
6) Instead (on the side of the board) all 4 of the blue LED lights were on. Now press and hold the button which is the Start/Home/blue little house/C- looking Button on the side of the board for 5 seconds. The Blue LED lights should now all be off!

I have a wii fit board, when you power it up, it

Had the same problem. It's a sync problem.
First, best to double check you have fresh batteries.
Next, turn the board upside down and remove the cover from the battery compartment.
Open the small hatch cover on the front of your console unit.
Now start wii fit from the disk menu item.
Next, press the small red button inside the balance board battery compartment. The blue lights will blink for approx 3=5 sec.
While they are blinking, press the red button on the console (in the hatch compartment).
This should re-sync your board and the light stays lit.
Good luck.

Wii cd rom will not work after i installed the wiikey2 chip. i tested the solder points and aperar to be no shorts to othe chips. The wikey chip turns on with red led power light, and then blue led turns...

temp solution, was to leave all wires solderd in place to confirm that there were no shorts , and to remove the Wiikey2 chip. The chipset on the wii is D2E.
I may have a bad chip or the wiring diagram is wrong....
I'll keep you posted when full modification is done.

Disk slot blinks blue light on and off, even when not in use

this means you have an email/ message waiting for you. turn on your wii... when it comes to the home page look at the bottom right there should be a picture of a envelope and a number. click on that and take care of the messages. most of the time this only happens when you are connected to wifi and have updates waiting.
