Heat Pump no longer produces cold air. Blows good but not cold.

I have an Amanda Heat Pump. Model number is PTC153A35AD. It does not produce cold air, just barely cool. I pulled the cover off and the little indicator light blinks once which I believe means that the board is okay? Gordon

It sounds like you have a refrigerant leak. If both coils are clean and air fiter is clean nad you can hear compressor running, most likely refrigerant leak. If this unit has heat strips verify they are not running during cool mode.

Amana Wall unit blows cold air before heating

the unit works by chilling air and the byproduct is heat in the compressor, this is used for heating in the winter and then reversed in summer to blow cold air. It has to blow cold and warm up before it can blow heat.

A/c blows warm air when idle, when vehicle accelerated blows cold air. what gives?

when a vehicle stops but is still running it produces a lot of heat, since you still feel some cold air from your ac ,it is working, however maybe not up to par or its just not as much as you would like. The reason it feels cooler when you are driving is the ability to get rid of the heat from the motor because the airflow pulls away the heat from the engine and helps the cooling system.

The heatpump blows out air ok but no heat?

You are probably going to have to call a Hi Vac repair as your freon is probably too low to operate your Heat Pump properly. The only difference between the Air condition side and the heat side is a reversing valve that takes the heat produced by the Air Conditioning (cold) side and sends it into your house and exhaust the cold air out side. If the pump cannot produce heat from the expansion and compression of the freon, then no heat. You may also want to check that the pump is running as it is protected by two large BUSS fuses on the AC power to the heat pump and if any one or both of those fuses are blown, then no power to the Heat Pump. There should be an 8 inch square box mounted on a wall next to the heat pump that supplies 220V to the pump.

Fujitsu heatpump 13 years old is not heating room as it used to.filters are clean.i have gauges and would like to know what pressures are good and what pressures indicate low refrigerant or worn...

The refrigerant and compressor are related in cooling the room.As for heating problem the thermostat needs to be checked.
if you're used to a certain temperature of air and your heat pump is producing much cooler air, take the following steps. (Note that a heat pump may go into a defrost mode to prevent icing. When this happens, it can temporarily output cold air. Also be aware that the heat pump will have to work harder to produce heat.)

1) First be sure the thermostat is set properly. Try raising the set temperature 5 degrees F. and waiting a few minutes.

2) Be sure the room-heating registers are open.

3) Check the heat pump filter. If it's dirty, change it.

4) Be sure the auxiliary heating elements are working .

5) Clean the coils of the outdoor condensing unit.
If still the same problem then thermostat needs to be checked and replaced.
Thanks.

No rear heat

The rear vent system has a separate heater core/blower system. heater core could be plugged up or the coolant lines going to rear heater core are plugged. could also be low coolant/faulty water pump not producing enough pressure, or air in the cooling system which will need to be bled if so.

2006 ford f-250 diesel with no heat

it takes quite a while for a diesel to warm up by just idling in order to produce any heat.you have to put them under a load (drive it), before you will get any noticeable heat.if you have a block heater, plug it in 4-5 hours before you plan on driving it and that will definitely help produce interior heat quicker.
