Update your codec files. http://download.cnet.com/1770-20_4-0.html?query=codec&tag=srch&searchtype=downloads&filterName=platform%3DWindows&filter=platform%3DWindows

There are a lot of free codec's which you can download and use. Can go to Microsoft also and reinstall codec's from there. Hope it works out, I had similar problem and it can be quite annoying. You didn't mention which player you are using or maybe you are not using one, just listening online.

It sounds as if something is not grounded properly. Check your wiring and make sure all connections are made.

My subwoofer doesn't receive power, all amp fuses are fine, amp powers on, remote wire and rca wires are connected and intact. Before it stopped working all together the woofer would cut out and after...

If you are getting power to the amp, try this....Find a small speaker, unhook your sub and wire speaker to amp. Turn on your system at a low volume....If the other speaker is playing through amp, then your sub is shot.....If the small speaker doesnt work, then its either your channel is gone on the amp or the rcas have quit off off your head unit.

My reciever plays then cuts out

They don't overload from missing speakers. I'm curious, what buggered the one speaker?

Examine all of your speaker wires carefully to be sure no unintended contact is made between them and anything else.

Is "overload" being displayed?

“OVERLOAD” starts flashing on the display.

Speakers are overloaded because of high volume.

1. Press STANDBY/ON on the front panel to turn off the receiver.
2. Stop the playback source.
3. Turn on the receiver again, and adjust the volume.
----------------
Speakers are overloaded because of short circuit of speaker terminals.

Press STANDBY/ON on the front panel, then check the speaker wiring.

If “OVERLOAD” does not disappear after turning on the receiver again, unplug the AC power cord, then plug it back in again.
If speaker wiring is not short-circuited, contact your dealer.

Get the mobile to service center, no other way. My friends mobile speaker also stopped working, on giving to service center they repaired in just few minutes. May be some loose connection inside it.

Speakers cut out after about 10 minutes.

Does the system perform normally- as long as it works? If yes, then the Amplifier is at fault. It cannot be the output Transistors or IC, as the sound is coming from both channels. If you know solid state servicing, I advice replacing all the electrolytic capacitors in the Output stages of the Amplifier. Over a period of time these El Caps dry out, and cause headaches.
