Question about HP LaserJet 4300tn Printer

1 Answer

Dirty Pages When printing documents, the pages are coming out with "dirty spots" on them. The markings are not in the same place on each page. The toner cartridge is only about two weeks old and it generally takes us a couple of months to go through one. I guess the best way to describe it is the pages look like someone walked on them lightly with dusty dirt on the bottom of their shoes. Gosh, I hope I described this well. :)

Your fuser may need to be changed. The fuser fuses the toner to the paper. sometimes it will get a build up on it causing "dirty pages" as you described.

My lexmark x544 gets a black line down the page when i put it in the tray feeder. What do I do?

Is the black mark in the same place on all print outs? If so, it could be that the paper feed rolls may be dirty.

it could be that the roller needs cleaning, how you do that, I don't know, but that's my guess. try printing blank white pages and see if they come out dirty

sounds like a dodgy black toner - is it a 3rd party toner - had this quite a lot myself at work with cheaper cartridges. to print a cleaning page just flick through the menu to diagnostics or print quality - in here you should find some cleaning tools of the machine

HP 9500 mfp: All pages aren't being stapled and it's printing a perfect black line about 2/3 down the page of all documents fed through the ADF.

Black line.....there are 2 smaller rectangular glasses that the pages are scanned through. When you lift the ADF you will see one of them next to the large glass platen, the other is on the underside of the ADF. Clean these with a wetwipe or alcohol.
The pages not being stapled, on the exit tray where the pages come out after being stapled there is a set of black rollers near there that get dirty and will not feed them into the stapler easily, you can clean these with WD40

Black streaks through pages

There can be some reasons:
1. The Fuser is too cold, so toner was not fixed
2. Image Transfer Belt is defect or dirty

Dirty printing

The cause of this is a faulty toner cartridge. What happened was some toner spilled out of the cartridge and down into your printer. Take the toner cartridge out and with a damp paper towel just goto town and wipe everything down.

Replace the toner cartridge, and in about 20 pages it should clear up.

Printing line on each copy

Most likely there is something on the seal glass, Open the feeder and look at the small strip of glass, see if it is dirty.
the other possibility is that there is a streaking problem in the drum cartridge or in the fuser in that area.
Start with the glass, then look at the drum, You will most likely find the problem on one of those 2 areas.
I really suspect a small spot on the glass where the paper passes over when making the copy through the feeder
