I discovered that editing in Photoshop was the culprit. I removed the ICC color profile and Progressive. These are options that are available when Saving for Web (to reduce the file size). Since these images don't need to be print quality, 72dpi is sufficient. You can edit in Photoshop just be aware of the profile settings when saving. Removing Progressive from the image appeared to resolve the issue.

Check the max resolution of you pic frame (800x600), you may have to resize your pics down in res until they display. Take one pic that will not display and reduce the size 6 or 7 times on a memory card.( ... Make it a litter smaller each time) Then load and show each one until it is displayed. You have found your target size...
