Any good tv shop that services dlp displays should be able to get you a lamp. Sorry, but they are not cheap....accordianman

My Audiosonic td2401 keeps turning itself off, have checked the internal clock and timer, sleep mode is set to off, any other advice on keeping it running for more than 5 hours before it turns itself

HI. If you are 100% sure that no timer is active, then I guess it is a thermal problem in the TV. There can be bad solderings, mostly in the horiz., or vertical powerstages, causing the TV to shut down after 5 hours. At least, this time should be different if the ambient t° from the set is higher or lower.
If the "turn off" time is always exactly 300 minutes, no second more or less, then there might still be a processor problem in the TV. Not easy to find. Also, these replacement micro-processors contain a
pre-programmed booting section where all characteristics and alignment data from your set are stored as a factory setting....
Huge problem, which can only be solved by an Audiosonic service center. Good luck.

On timer light is flashing.and tv shuts off in about 5 seconds after turnig it on.

Timer function is in ON position and have been set to the least time I thinks. You just go to the menu and put the timer fuction of OFF.

The On/Off timer lets you program your television to turn itself on or off. You can use it as an alarm

to wake up, to help you remember important programs, or as a decoy when you're not home.

Press the MENU button

Press UP or DOWN button on the remote control hanset to ON/OFF TIMER

Make it OFF.

Switch off the TV by its front panel power button, and switch it ON again after 10 seconds.

I have a Sony Wega KV-34HS420 TV that takes several tries to turn on. When I push the power button or remote power on I hear the normal click and the sound comes on for 3-5 seconds but then I hear a second...

Since the set appears to "recover", it suggests either a poor solder connection or bad cap somewhere in the power supply. The 7 blinks indicate the problem circuit is in the horizontal area. Check the regulator (STRxxxx) IC in the power supply. If you do not have experience working with TVs, please refer this repair to a shop. The regulator IC costs around $25.

You have what sounds like a failing vertical output IC also could be some bad capacitors. If you are able to solder it would cost a few dollars to try this and see if it fixes it. If not you would need to replace the whole board itself and that could cost you a little bit more money. If you need a tech it is time to get rid of it you are looking at at least 200 dollars for repair.
