Question about Karcher K2.26 Electric Power Washer
The trigger appears to be catching. I was noticing that I was having to push it down harder than usual this a.m. PW worked for about 30 minutes this a.m. However, after i released the trigger halfway into the job and then tried to pull the trigger again, it would not completely engaged (and hence the pump and spray was not coming out). I kept pushing and the trigger finally pushed down completely, but then refused to engage after about 6 or seven more rounds with this.
I gave up, but then I came back after about an hour or so, and it worked for as long as I held the trigger down. Once i released the trigger, it would not engage again. The safety feature is turned off.
I can only give you some hints because I do not know the type and model of gun. First if your gun is put together with rivets and not screws, this could not be serviced. In this case you have to buy a new one. Now if you have screws, normaly Torx(T15) or sometimes Philips....you can open the gun to have a look inside. Some guns have an adjustment for correcting the travel of the trigger. This is a simple alen screw. Now if damage has been caused to the pin that is pushed by the trigger, then also a new gun is a must. In my opinion I rarely service guns. Infact the only guns that are serviceable ,..are of industrial machines. As I said, I do not know what type of machine you have and so I do not know the type of gun you have.
My general advice, is to buy a new gun. A gun is not that expensive. And working with a faulty gun not only in time will damage the machine, but it is also not safe!!
