Check the fuses.Blown fuse conditions FU1 - 6,3A Doors/covers open is displayed. FU2 - 6,3A Doors/covers open for the finisher is displayed. FU3 - 4A paper end condition. FU4 - 6,3A SC 121 is displayed. FU5 - 6,3A one of SC302 or SC403 or SC405 is displayed. FU101 - 15A no response. Fu 102 - 8A no response. FU103 - 1A normal operation, optional heaters do not work. If FU or 102 is the problem, verify the main motor and the fusing unit heater lamps and thermofuses. After change the problematic fuse removal the fusing unit and turn ON the copier.
A blown fuse will not produce smoke. A component failed and probably fried a resistor, which would smoke. That in turn would blow the fuse.Just replacing the fuse will not cure the problem. Your unit needs repair.
Yes BUT there is also high voltages both with and WITHOUT the unit connected to an A.C. plug. If you decide to check fuses, and you find one that is blown, PLEASE use ONLY the original value fuse.
Hello Randy, There are two options here: first, the power button is amber but unit still won't go. In this case try a 'factory reset' as per manual. If this won't work, it seems that the processor is gone (located on the display board) so you have to bring your unit into a authorized shop for repairs. Secondly, it might be just matter of some blown fuses which are located inside the unit on the transformer board. If after replacing (if they're blown) the unit still won't work or keeps blowing the new fuses, follow the first advice, meaning you have to bring the receiver to a service. To access the fuses, you have to remove the top cover.I wish you luck Kostiko
Well, first of all, did you fix the problem that caused the fuse to blow? Have you scanned you Antilock Brake System (ABS) module for fault codes? Since the computer is the one responsible for turning the light on, wouldn't you think that the computer would be the one to ask WHY it has turned the light on?
I think it may be a blown fuse.... My unit is doing the same thing except I'm not getting an error code on the display. I opened the unit and checked the fuse, it was definitely blown. I have to wait till tomorrow to get the new fuse to see if that fixes the load beeping and the non-responsive display.
The main fuse is close to where the cord plugs into the machine. You can follow the wires, (black white and green) to an inline fuse or the main power board.
