Question about D-Link DI 514 Wireless Router (DI-514)
D-link DI 524 Router: Led on link 1 is lit up, but nothing is pluged in! When I plug ethernet cable to this port I can not connect to my router. Or other eth. ports seems to be ok! Any Solution? Today also I lost my internet connection over this router. I was connectin to a local provider over PPTP, but from today it does not work anymore. I called m provider and they say that everything is perfect on their side, and that they even can see my router. I really do not kno what to do! :((( Those two problems are with high possibility related! Some things i did but did not help: Upgraded Firmware Replaced Eth Cables Reseted Router Now I am online over my network card which MAC is also registred by local provider and it works! Please Help! I have 3 more computers that must be online! :(( THanks
You may have been hit by lightning or power surge which knocked out one or 2 ports. If the WAN port is out you may still be able to use your router as a hub provided your modem can be configured as a router (many newer ones can) . Connect one of your working LAN ports to the modem and others to your computers.
