Question about Saeco VIA Venezia

1 Answer

Saeco Via Venezia leaks water from front top overhang.

The espresso machine leaks (more like pours) water from the front top overhang when brewing the espresso. Water leaks a little bit from the same area while steaming or clearing the water circuit. Every function of the machine seems to be working properly. I just received the machine refurbished, this is my first espresso machine. Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

That is not normal, this tells me that the pump has too much pressure that it is forcing water through the brew unit, or the expansion valve(if your model has one was not set properly). Is there a high pitch noise when the pump is running. If yes then it is the expansion, if no then the springs and the valve pins in the brew valve(small white plastic piece behind the brew unit) needs to be replaced.

HI
It sounds like you didn't get all the parts back in the head. The silicone head with the spring goes in first, then the screw. The spring has to touch the screw. Then the filter screws into the screw plug.

HI I think you have a blown element in the boiler. You might have a leak that is shorting inside also.

My machine seems to heat up, it runs like it is drawing water into the boiler and it will froth but it does not brew espresso now. What could be the problem?

Hi
If water comes out the head with out the portifilter in then its you portafilter or your grinds are too fine. If its not coming out the head then your pipe in the brew head are plugged with scale.

My Saeco Via Venezia espresso maker broke; the screw that holds the metal filter into the machine will not remain there. What can I do?

HI
There is a large screw in the brew head that your screw screws into. You need to replace the big screw and you should be good to go.

Makeing coffee

No, these machines use a pressurized portafilter to make brewing espresso easier. Be sure your coffee is ground about the fineness of table salt. Just level the coffee in the filter and insert the filter as instructed.
