Question about Dell Latitude D620 Notebook
Where do i need to go on my computer to start the builtin camera?
Dell Latitude D620 does not come with built in camera. The little box that looks like camera is just an Ambient Light Sensor. The ambient light sensor adjusts the brightness of the display automatically as environmental lighting conditions change. When you use the Latitude D620 for the first time, the ambient light sensor is turned off. You can enable it by pressing the "Fn" and left-arrow keys simultaneously. If you change the screen's brightness manually, the Latitude D620 disables the ambient light sensor. Hope this answers your question.

First install a missing Dell webcam driver, you can download it from the Dell manufacturer website if you don't have the software for it!
for Example if the webcam is from Dell/Toshiba/Acer then visit Dell/Toshiba/Acer website...
First uninstall the older device drivers and then install the latest device drivers. You can also download the latest webcam drivers from the internet and install the new device drivers.
Now go to manufacture site & in the download option, select your model number.
After selecting the laptop model number from site, click on 'Software & Drivers Downloads'.
Now you need to choose your operating system & select the given updates & follow all instructions to download it.
After complete download, install supported driver for your laptop webcam. After install driver, reboot your laptop again and check that your webcam is working properly or not.
I hope it will fix your webcam not working issue if laptop is not facing any hardware issue.

Did you recently reload Windows? It sounds like you don't have a proper driver or utility program for your camera.
Dell has a great support site. First find your Service Tag #. It will be on the bottom and is black with white letters. Go to www.dell/support.com. Enter the service tag number (not the model #), you will find all your drivers and support that you need.
