We can obtain much easier the information, if you gave us the Compaq model and serial number. Compaq is made by Hewlett Packard and they are a very well organized company. Please don't give up. I know people at HP and I have worked with them in the past.

I hope that you were not the one who jumped in the pool and now he needs the instruction manual, so he canlearn to swim(?). Give us a few days. Compaq is made by Hewlett Packard and they are a very well organized company. Please send us information that we can get back to you, either to deliver the manual, or make different arrangement. Please bear in mind that manufacturers usually sell their manuals. I bought one for my own use and I paid US $ 9.00, which seemed to me to be quite reasonable.

I need the manual of Manufacturer's motherboard name: Pegatron Motherboard name: AAHD3-HB HP/Compaq name: Hibiscus

Couldn't find a manual, but here's some info: HP and Compaq Desktop PCs Motherboard Specifications AAHD3 HB Hibiscus

And bios setup info HP and Compaq Desktop PCs BIOS Settings for the Hibiscus Motherboard

If you want a manual, you'll have to specify the computer model, as the board is apparently used in different models.

My desktop 5108us presario made a 'pop' sound and stopped working. It will turn on but makes a couple rattling sounds and nothing happens. Inside, I see that a small fuse, up on the far left, looks like it...

It depends, motherboards usually dont have fuses. They have capacitors which can pop. Getting that fixed is dependent on how much someone will charge. I generally dont like replacing motherboards because of version issues, but replacing that part on the motherboard may not work properly. I would have a pro check it out.

I need help installing a second seagate 1tb internal hard drive on a compaq presario sr5502fh? dont know where the data connection for the second hard drive goes.

If you haven't changed the motherboard from the time you bought it, then there must four onboard sata connectors on the motherboard, refer below picture; c24ab14.jpg

If you haven't installed four sata drives, then there must be at least 3, you can connect the new hard drive on any port, no matter Master or Slave, Primary or Secondary, it'll automatically set it for you. You also no need to worry about the cable, both the ends are same, it works on any direction; 80e9306.jpg

Same thing with the power cable, you can join it on any power cable.. daeb671.jpg

I hope this helps, if you have problem with this or if in case your motherboard is different, please let me know;
Good luck.

Hi , I Have A Huge problem in My Hp compaq d530 sff

These computer are know to have bad capacitors. Check and ensure that you dont have swollen capacitor on the motherboard. The HP Compaq desktops are notorious for this. I am almost certain you have bad capacitors.

Enjoy the power of a PC.

Motherboard ID Motherboard Name Compaq Evo

as long as it is a socket 478 processor which narrows it down to P4 or celeron ( P4 being better and faster ) it should be fine.
Obviously it will state what processors it can handle in the computer manual so if you find the manual it should state in there.
I dont think it will handle more then a 3ghz P4

A new motherboard for a old compaq presario 5240

You will need a new case and a new power supply. I would replace the memory as well.

Compaq had a tendency to make cases to only fit their boards back then. Youre better off building a new unit and starting over again.
