Question about Dell Latitude 120L Notebook
The laptop type is : Dell lattitde 510
The laptop will not power up from the mains supply or charge the battery. The power supply is working, the power is getting to the mother board but is not switching. Have used a voltage test meter over various parts of the board with the power on very minute power (0.25 V) to the battery pins. Computer will work off the battery as normal but I am unable to use it for long as the life of the battery is not long. Between the power into the mother board to the battery terminals there is a ault and can not find it.
Any ideas? Many thanks Craig.
Bad system board. not much more than that. or the ac adapter may have the green light on but nothing coming out the low voltage side. i am going with that the power module which intergrated into the system board is bad. needs to be replaced.
