Question about Ulead DVD MovieFactory for PC
Ulead dvd factory 6 plus using XP Pro If I select an avi file for insertion into the edit line, the system hiccups and immediately loops and returns to the programs interface. Previous projects loaded in the system prior to this problem containing avi files in the project will no longer load. If I simply edit using MPEG or wma files: No problems! Also I am unable to import chapters from existing DVDs via the onboard DVD drives any more using the program. Can anyone assist with is problem: assistance appreciated. Footnote: I have also noted that when using Windows media encoder, the program seems to almost "choke" when asked to encode AVI files? Perhaps my installed version of XP Pro needs adjusting? Any asistance much appreciated.
First make sure you have installed the newest service pack for XP
at LEAST have service pack 2 downloaded. I believe they have 4 out now.
Make sure you are not using more than ONE encoder program. I recommend downloading:
XP Codec Pack
Windows Codec Pack
These also come with AC3 Filter and MPEG decoders.
Make sure all your drivers are up to date.
