Question about Dell E193FP 19" LCD Monitor
This monitor won't wake up without rebooting the machine. I've changed settings to not hibernate and put up an "active" screen saver. Checked all the cables. It works fine just needs a shot of No Doze. Dell's tech support has been no help (as usual). They claim to be "aware of the problem and are working on a solution". Any ideas? Thanks
Since this is a desktop and not a laptop here is my suggestion,
When booting your machine at the boot screen continuously press the F10 key to bring up your cmos settings.
One of the tabs when the screen opens will be for power options, click on this tab and on the screen that opens choose "disabled" for all of these options....unfortunately your electric bill may go up by about 75 cents a month....LOL
Reguardless of what you have been told, it is more damaging to your computer to be turnd off and on frequently, Just think about it, How many times have you seen a lightbulb burn out while it was on? They will usually blow as they are turned on due to the heating and cooling of the components....But I digress, After making the changes in your power settings save and exit
CMOS and reboot your system.99 times out of 100 this will remedy the problem
