The sound from my speaker fades in and out, but the handset works fine.

The speaker to my Vodavi phone just started fading in and out. The handset sound is normal. This happened after a conference call.

Since this problem just started, I would first check to make sure there is nothing stuck inside the mic's port. Also, if you have a fan on in the room, that can also cause your speaker to fade in volume.

I say both of these because if the phone thinks you're saying something, your speaker will fade in volume. Whether you're talking or it's just air noise, the volume will fade.

The normal earpiece (not headset) has no sound. I have to either use headset or use speakerphone to hear whoever I'm talking to... just started yesterday..all of a sudden, no slw fade or anything. worked...

Normally Motos blow the top end speaker! Most of the time they are soldered, but I haven't done a phone of this model for a while , so cannot remember . If possible , try to get a V3 speaker from somewhere and then disassemble phone, to see if it will work. V3 spkrs are much cheaper , and usually work on many motos . If the speaker is round , it may need to clean the elastomer, so if this is the case email me at fonegeeks@ hotmail , and I will attempt to talk you through it . Need to open handset first :] cheers!

Durango radio fade problems

Your front speakers are more than likely blown. They make all kinds of different models and price ranges to look at. This gives you a good opportunity to upgrade your stock speakers to handle what your throwing at it.
