My Screens Backlight Wont Come On What Do I Do?

When i try to charge my sidekick it does not do anything. It will not even turn on!!

Ghozt-

The sidekick 3 has an issue with thte charging port. If you have a friend with a sidekick 3 or sidekick ID, try one of their batteries. If your unit powers on, the charging port has gone bad.

the repair for a charginf port runs about 80-100 dollars. A cheaper work around is to get a charging cradle that has a spare battery charger slot. They run about 30 dollars on ebay and it will allow you to charge the bettery seperate from the phone.

Sidekick 3 backlighting won't work

If the backlight is burned out then you will need to replace the LCD screen. It is fairly easy to do and runs about 30 dollars from ebay.

The phone works just fine but i can't see the screen its completly black

The backlight is probably blown out. You will need to buy a new screen and install it. They are like 30 dollars.

So if the backlight is dead, you will need to replace the lcd screen to fix that. It is pretty easy to do and runs about 25 dollars from ebay.

If the backlight on your sidekick 3 is dead, you will need to replace the lcd assy. They runa bout 30 dollars on ebay and are easy to do.

Is it the LCD back light? If so, it probably burned out. Did the phone get wet recently? That is usally the main cause.

You can get a replacement screen on ebay for about 40-50 dollars. Look for ones that come with the instructions and screwdriver. You will need a T6 Torx Driver.
