Question about Dell 3100cn Laser Printer
I'm getting a Tray Error, Invalid Config message when the 3100 comes on, and I can't do anything else with it. Looking on the web interface, it looks like the problem might be with the Center Output Tray, because even though its status is OK, it's highlighted red.
Another comment in here said to unplug while the printer is on... that didn't work for me. Any suggestions?
You can restore the original factory default menu settings by initializing NVRAM. Try this and see what happens. from there I would need an exact message off the printer to help further.
Turn off the printer.
Turn on the printer while holding down and .
The Customer Mode menu appears.
Press until Configure aTray Error, Invalid Config - r_bottona.gifhen press or .
Press until MaintenanTray Error, Invalid Config - arrowbutton_sa.gif and then press or .Press until Init NVRAM appears, and then press or .
The Init NVRAM Are you sure? message appears on the operator panel. Press .
Turn off the printer, and then on again.
