My Lexmark E330 printer keeps printing coding on paper instead of the documents I want it to print, how do I remedy this?

Are you, by any chance, trying to print a PDF file? If so, you need to use the print feature in the PDF reader and not the print capabilities of your operating system.

Cannot print pdf file on x1270

If all else prints fine except when printing PDF files, try to update your Adobe Acrobat. Then, after the update is successful, try to print your PDF file again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I cannot print PDF files on my Lexmark X4650. Word docs print fine, but Adobe files will not print and I cannot convert them to word either.

Make sure your Adobe application is updated.
Try to update your printer driver as well. Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X4650 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > download and execute the file.
Once the update is complete, try to print a PDF file again to verify that the problem is fixed.

HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One Printer prints gibberish when printing pdf's

Hp has an excellent online support site, with troubleshooting and articles specific to your model printer. which can be accessed here.
Please see in particular this article relating to pdf printing problems.
Make sure you have the latest version of adobe reader, (x), and make sure you have downloaded and installed the most recent drivers and or software updates for your printer, which are available at the hp site.
Here is a list of search results for pdf printing, but in general I can say that my experience shows pdf printing can be problematic and sometimes difficult to troubleshoot. You can try saving the pdf file as as image and printing the image file, if you have no luck elsewhere...Here is a link from adobe with instructions on how to do so.
.I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

When I try to print the computer says I have the wrong port for my lexmark X5650ex printer.

  1. Create a folder on your desktop and call it Lex1020.
  2. Detach the requisite bin file (JETBIN1020.BIN) to the folder you have just created.
  3. In Windows, go to Start, Programs, MS-DOS Prompt.
  4. At the DOS prompt (C:WINDOWS>) type:
    cd desktop
    and press ENTER.

  5. Then type:
    cd Lex1020
    and press ENTER.
  6. Then type:
    copy/b jet1020.bin LPT1:
    and press ENTER.
As shown below, the following line should appear just below the last command you typed in:
    1 file(s) copied
The Lexmark 1020 Control Program will now appear. It should print out a line containing some gibberish characters and also the words Lexmark Color Jetprinter 1020.

Lexmark Optra 1275sc - 900 Service - Software Error

I have the same problem, but the error only occurs when I try to print a .pdf file (Adobe Reader) using the "Lexmark Optra SC 1275 PS" driver. For some reason the PS driver didn't like .pdf files! My solution was to always print .pdf files using the alternative " Lexmark Optra SC 1275 (MS)" driver, which Lexmark also offers on its website.

Prints gibberish

You need to ensure you have the correct drivers for your computer. Adobe uses PostScript drivers to print out .pdf files. Some drivers are Printer Control Language (PCL) and do not work well with .pdf.
