Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Got one coming in for wall mount for a bedbound person (me). What are the thread specs for the holes on the back for fixing to a wall bracket? So that I can get the right parts in advance - straight bolts would work, using (hopefully!) an Argos wall bracket 534/6082 (again coming in). Will pass info on to our handyman (who is a non-computer type!). Thanks in advance. Michael G. Wilkins

Sorry, thought that model number was in the email title!
Its NOT projection, but regular LCD, 22". An Acoustic Solutions W2295F "LCD HD Ready Digital LCD TV", actually Argos 529/3403 (who cannot help). The wall mount is an Argos, "Wall Bracket 534/6082". Specs say that the TV is "wall mountable".

    Thanks
    Michael

There should be 4 threaded holes where you attach a wall mount bracket to the t.v. they generally are brass colored

I need help finding mounting screws and bolts for my 47" 1080P 120HZ LCD w/2YR. The table that I bought for the tv dindn't bring them.

If you want to put the LCD on a stand you"ll need the original that screws on the bottom. best way to mount LCD is to the wall or on a metal stand. There are holes on the back of the LCD to mount the bracket most brackets have a lot of holes just move the bracket up or down until two line up. The screws are almost all metric coarse thread and usually are included with the bracket kit. I got my kit at Wal Mart

Can't find screw size to fit back of my 42in Toshiba Regza. I want to mount on wall. Screws that came with the 42in wall mount don't fit it. It's not a 5/16, 6mm, 8mm fine thread or course thread

M8 - according to a document I found online for a Toshiba mounting bracket kit for their LCD TVs the bolt size is M8. It should be easily available in a large hardware store or place that sells large flat screens.
Make sure you hand tighten it into the mounting hole before attaching any brackets, to judge the proper depth for tightening. Over-tightening with a long bolt could damage the TV.

Moen 3836...lost installation manual...what size drill bit for the hand held brkt.

There is no single answer that I can give you because it will vary due to material you are mounting to. If you are going to be mounting on ceramic tile or fiberglass shower wall I would recommend you use the plastic anchors that come with the bracket and mounting screws. Use drill size 3/16 drill holes and insert anchors. Mount bracket and screw in place. If you have hollow wall with nothing but sheetrock to hold the bracket I would get small butterfly anchors from hardware store and drill hole slightly larger than the wings on fastener when they are folded back along side the screws. If you have a wood backer board behind shower wall then drill holes with 1/8 inch bit and use screws long enough to reach through shower wall and sheet rock and mount bracket. Hope this helps you. Thanks P.S. If you have to drill thru ceramic tile you will need a carbide tipped bit.

I need to know the size of screws i neddto wall mount my tv

First you need a tv wall bracket made for that tv's weight and size to have a safe tv on your wall. The tv must be secured properly or it might fall. So the screws would come with this mounting kit and if they didn't I would fined out were they are. You must mount to a strong structure, like a stud in the wall or a metal frame built for it. The screws that I would use if might mounting kit did not have them would be as big as they would fit in the mounting bracket holes and that all the mounting holes wear being used and long enough to not be pulled out and in the stud about 3/4 of the way through the stud. They would be a good metal screw with a washer and the right threads for what ever material you are mounting it to. Thanks

Hannspree Television/Wall Bracket

If there are six threaded holes in the rear of your TV and the bracket supplied has only four holes I would bet that the weight requires a heavier bracket.
