Black ink cartridge says empty. I replaced with a new one. But it still says empty. Cleaned it 10 times....not to avail. It prints but not in black. What can I do? Throw it or buy a new one......not brother for sure.

Same problem. Mine error message is with the yellow cartridge. The one I previously had did the same thing with the magenta cartridge. Are these duds or what?

I have changed both ink cartidges with brand new hp ink 3 times and keep getting the message that ink supply is out and to change cartidges. I have unplugged, cleaned ink heads, held down the 6 and # as one person suggested, and released the latch head several times. Same message--sometimes it says black cartridge, sometimes color cartridge needs replacing.

I find it very difficult to get the ink cartridges into the printer. Must I use a crowbar? What am I dooing wrong?

When I install a new black cartridge, I get an orange "check print cartridge" error message that tells me the cartridge is incorrect for the printer. It's not incorrect. I've tried cleaning, stopping and starting, plugging and unplugging. The same thing happened with my last black cartridge but it ultimately righted itself. This time it won't.

You need to take it a couple steps further after your test print. Sounds like your print heads need cleaning or your cartridge may need aligning. It’s best to do this each time you install a new cartridge. for more information….... http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-40171-printer-not-printing-black

Go further into detail. Is it giving you a "check and remove" error, or just not printing? If it is simply not printing, try heating some water up, dampening a paper towel and wiping the print head(*the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out) and pressing on the paper towel to get a "foot print".
If it is giving you an error, then you might have to update online. The check and remove error can sometimes be solved with online critical updates. If it is telling you cartridge has failed, then the circuits are bad, and you should contact HP. Their cartridges have warranties too

I changed my black ink and now i get the message left cartridge incorrect..how do i fix it?

HP PSC 2210 InkJet Printer. The following has to be done for checking the Blank Ink Catridge working : 01. Remove the existing Black catridge and Color Catridges from the Printer carefully. 02. Clean the location with a soft cloth with cleaning liquid to make the place dust free. 03. Put the correct black and colour cartridges recommended by HP and that too genuine one. 04. Do not use any refilled or reinked local catridges that will spoil the HP PSC 2210 printer. 05. Re-install the catridges both Black and Colour properly. 06. Take a test print out - both black and colour print outs. 07. Check the Printer status and there is no warning of Cartridges wrongly inserted. Have a Good day.

Each time i start my printer( HP PSC 1410) it prints a test page.

Buy a Brother 2100 All in one for 169 or less then goto 123 inkjet and get color cartridges for only 4.50 each (and the large ones too not dinky cartridges) plus for the price of a new printer you get the ink in it which would cost you the price of ink anyway for the HP so think as it as a free printer
123inkjet.com - for 50 dollars I got 3 black 2 majenta 2 yellow and 2 blue and they were sent to me through general mail us to canada so no duties but did take 4 weeks or more

HP 1315 printing real slow

If there are a compatiable black cartridge
replace this cartridge with your old empty cartridge and print a test page (don't mind about printing of black )
If speed is correct,
then replace the black cartridge with another new cartridge.
(some time compatiable black cartridge not work properly to flow ink)

Black ink Cartridge

Ink Cartridge Supplies for the HP PSC 750
Description
C6615A Black Ink Cartridge (HP #15)
C6578AN Color Ink Cartridge (HP #78)

That's right according to the above info
Try
Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
