    Thank you cnavaro
    The System Model No. that I am Using is KX-TD1232DBX and it have 16 two pair connector and 25 Sinle line connectors;
    4 outside lines are inserted but the capacity is 8 lines, and for the single line uses Expansion which is 16SLC. And to distribute single lines 50 pin connector is used; and from 25 lines 16 single lines are used and remains 9 lines. and is that possible to make the rest 9 lines active.

    I Thank you all for your good doing, and unfortunately I didn't got the right solution on that week and I am afraid to say it is not that much helpful to me, but I already upgraded my system myself and now it is functional;

    I know the world's formula is give & take but some times it is good for the Companies to assist their customers wide open whenever & wherever. Because the companies must be relied on their Branded Equipments Name + functionality. And if I know
    what must be done next I will save my money and time, and indirectly the Company will get its Prize. While You came to my story I already bought additional Expansion Card and now it is functional if the case is like this it is easy to say U need additional card then I will decide next but in General I appreciate your dedication to support the world. Thank You All.

    A TD system does not have a 16-SLC. The TDA/TDE does. A TD-1232 can have 64 single line sets with hardware, 32 in the first cabinet and 32 in the second. A digital set can have an analog port. Certain sets, like a DSS and voice mail, can not use the XDP. Probably not the answer you're looking for.

The 25-pair Amphenol connector is just something the industry uses because it's standard and easy. In a TDA system, the 8-port C.O. Trunk card uses the first 8 pairs, a 16-port the first 16 pairs, an 8-port Pana station card uses the first 24 pairs, 3 pairs per extension. The last pars don't have any hardware behind it and are connected to nothing.

The only phone system that I remember where all 25 pairs are used is a 1a2 10 button set and, maybe a Comdial system where the 25th pair is the common audible for station 17 :-)

    Check the manual carefully. In our system, you can't add 2 16-SLC's in a TD sytsem. Our base cabinet comes wired for 16 extensions and there are 3 slots on the cabinet face for expansion cards, only two of which can be 8-port expansion cards. The only 16-port card we had was the MW card and I think you could only have one per system.

    This should earn a FixYa's your lucky day. The manual and part you're looking for is a kx-td174. You may have 2 of them on a single cabinet, and it is the same size as the 8ext, using the XDP ports we normally use as two single line ports.

    Here's the bonus for you....a free BX manual. Courtesy of a Google search and some persistence.

    Now I'm curious. In the system you describe, you should have the capability for 32 single line sets, 16 on the base cabinet and 16 in the expansion card. You have a single line port available for every digital (72xx/74xx) set you have connected. The default numbers would be 101-124 and 201-224 for a total of 48 (16 digital number 32 analog numbers). By jacks 01-24 (1,2). Programming 109 and 600 turn the ports on.

    I didn't find a programming manual specific to the bx, but you're welcome to search. Perhaps you can understand whatever language the original page is in (Russian?). My search was in Google for kx-t1232bx. The site was translated.

    If you own a globe, I'm in Ohio which is in the United States. If you could drill through the globe, I'm guessing your country will show up somewhere nearby. We have dealer tricks to break into the U.S. TD systems, neither of which will I share on a public or private forum. That's what a DEALER is for.

    At this point, I suggest you call one.

    So you got it to work? How? Please tell us all. Were you plugged into the wrong port to program the system? Did you find it easy to change your numbering from 101-132 and 201-232?

This is my first time installing the 3 expansion modules on 1232 pbx. I'm installing 16SLC Card (KX-TD174) and KX-TD1232 PBX. I have installed it in the expansion area 1,2,3 and put the internal screw already. I programmed using #109 with C,A1,A2 for three kx-td174 unit but no slave displayed However, I cannot be able to hear the dial tone but I hear fide power in the area 1 when I attach a single line telephone to the jack. but area2 &area 3 is working properly

TD-1232 PBX - is is a programming issue or hardware issue?

ok so the first thing you should do is to get to where your PB X connects to the lines and ensure that there is a standing voltage on the lines. usually 50 v dc in the uk.

check each line has 50 volts with a multimeter when nthey are not active.

if line 3 has no voltage your problem is the line.

if line 3 does have voltage at 50 v idle ring the lines out 1 then 2 then 3 foir a analogue line to present ringing bthe voltage increases and is in cadence with the ringing. if again the voltage does not increase during the ringing cycle then the problemn is again with the line.

if the line 3 has 50 v idle and increase in voltage during ringing, then the problem is the line interface in the PBX

hope that this helps all above is for analogue lines only

Hi , i have panasonic TDA100 ipbx system i recently buy kx-tda170 hybrid extension card and install to pbx how can create extension from 25aid cable

The 170 card is an 8-port DHLC and it's pinned exactly like the old 123211 and the TD series systems where the first 2 pairs are the voice and data for a Panasonic Analog phone or a single line set on the first pair, and the 3rd pair is unused in the TDA. There are 8 3-pair sets in the cable and the 25th pair is nothing. Here's a link to an installation manual The instructions start on page 139.

No dial tone kx174

That's a trick. Pull out the card on the bottom of the cabinet and see if you get dial tone from the cards in the middle and top positions.

I think A1 and A2 mean extension cards of which you can derive 32 extensions, and the 16 analog ports on the base cabinet. I could tell you about the TDA-100 or 200, so I hope you didn't pay a lot of money for the 174's.

How many stations can a Panasonic D1232 support?

If it says D1232 on the box, it's a TD-1232. Look at the black and silver tag on the side of the KSU, IIRC the TD-1232's tag is on the lower right outside above the power cord. Three is a TA-1232 a TD-1232, and a 123210/11. Only the TD is digital (uses 72xx/74xx phones).

As far as SYSTEM phones, the TA/TD 1232 come out of the box as 8x16 devices and you add cards to expand it. These cards have -70 part numbers and are fairly difficult to find. (I think I have one or two on my shelf). If you really have a 123211, it also expands by using cards, that fit vertically in the card file with an AMP connector plugged into its face. Those are easier to find, the risk there is when you turn off the system to install them, it sometimes forgets to power back up.

Lastly, if you really have a TD with digital phones, there is an ANALOG port on the back of each digital phone that can be wired for seperate extensions (by default it's 100 more than the digital extension). You can add single line devices in those ports.(Some restrictions apply :-). For two quick phones, you might go that route.
