SOURCE: Cassette tape has jammed inside while playing,

This is a messy situation - I've had a few. The best thing to do really is take it to a repairers where they will be able to retrieve your cassette without damage to it or the deck.

Cassette stuck in the dash. eject button will not eject the cassette

You should take the tape deck out of the dash. Most aftermarket ones have two pairs of holes that you can insert long nails into to disconnect it from the dash. Unplug all the wires and open it up. It has probably eaten the tape and you will have to cut it and pull the strands off the capstan to get the cassette housing out. A pair of forceps, tweezers, and wooden handled cotton swaps and rubbing alcohol are helpful for cleaning and removing the strands of broken 3 7/8 ips tape.

Tape cassette player doesn't play cassettes

Sounds like the little rubber band that drives the pinch roller has broken and/or jumped off its pulleys. Simple fix, but you will have to take it out and take the upper cover off to get to it.

1995 Saab 900S Left speaker doesn't work when using tape player

sounds like the cassette adapter has a bad channel, or didn't fully seat into place. Try removing and re inserting, to play the other side of the adapter if the wires will allow it. Then auto reverse the cassette deck to allow a different portion of the cassette head to be used for the signal. Those cassette adapters are poor quality, and put alot of time on the mech.

Remove cassette

Try inserting a cleaning cassette. There may be something on you video heads and your camera is protecting itself from damage. If it wont let you play the cleaning cassette consider using some compressed air via a can of "blow-off" or similiar product. If that doesn't change anything send it in for repair.

Cassette Recorder play problem

Sounds like the tape tension sensor is stuck. The sensor is always telling the mechanism that the tape has reached the end.
