I have had my laptop for just over a year and never had any problems.
Yesterday it just would not turn on. I have checked the ac adapter and it seems OK - when plugged in the light on the front says my laptop is charging.
When I press the power button, the fan starts up and turns off after about 2 seconds - after that the power light stays on for about 20 seconds then goes off. There are absolutely no graphics shown on the screen.
I have tried removing the battery etc but the same problem.
Please help!!
If it still doesnt start without the battery then it could be an internal problem.
Remove the battery and the mains and press the power button for about 30 seconds then waite for about 5 minutes then reconnect the power cord and see if it will start up correctly.
If it does then once in Windows shutdown the computer and try with the battery installed.
If trying to reset it doesn't work then it will have to go in for repair at an Acer support center or where you bought it from since it still has warranty.
Good Luck
See if you can take the battery, ac power adaptor and CD drive. I know it sounds stupid but this has fixed many a laptop before. Wait a minute then put it all back together.
