The Blue Screen Your Are Talking About Its UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME and in case of blue screen mouse and keyboard are not detected as WINDOWS are not loading....

There Are 3 Ways To Resolve It But For All 3 Methods We Need The MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP OPERATING SYSTEM DISK...
1st Method Is WINDOWS RE-INSTALLATION. But In This Case All Your Data Would Be Gone..

2nd Method Is WINDOWS PARALLEL RE-INSTALLATION and in this method your data would be saved but you need to install the DRIVER'S SOFTWARE'S and other APPLICATIONS.

3rd Method Is The Easiest And I Prefer Which Is To Repair The Booting Sector.

To repair the volume, follow these steps: (10-15 Minutes)

  1. Start your computer by inserting the Windows startup disks or the MICROSOFT WINDOWS XP OPERATING SYSTEM DISK if your computer can start from the CD drive.
  2. When the Welcome to Setup screen appears, press R to select the repair option.
  3. If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the Windows installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.
  4. Type the administrator password when you are prompted to do this.

Note If no administrator password exists, press ENTER.
  5. At the command prompt, on the drive where Windows is installed, type chkdsk /p, and then press ENTER.
  6. It will ask u to overwrite the boot sector so press Y and overwrite the boot sector.
  7. type FIXBOOT and hit enter.
  8. When Everything Is done and new boot sector has been written successfully... type EXIT.
  9. Take Out Windows Disk and Restart Your System..
Some things that you should know before you try this solution loadTOCNode(4, 'resolution');
  • If the file system is damaged, you can use chkdsk /r command to repair the volume. However, if you use the chkdsk /r command, you may lose some data.
  • You will need the Windows startup disks or the Windows installation disk. If you do not have them, contact the computer manufacturer for help in obtaining the disks.
  • You will need the administrator password to complete the steps.
To repair the volume, follow these steps: 40-45 Minutes Complete File Repair

  5. At the command prompt, on the drive where Windows is installed, type chkdsk /r, and then press ENTER.
  6. At the command prompt, type exit, and then press ENTER to restart your computer.
  7. After you repair the volume, check your hardware to isolate the cause of the file system damage.
If this procedure does not work, repeat it, but type fixboot instead of chkdsk /r in step 5.

This Error can occur if either of the following conditions is true: 1) Your computer uses an Ultra Direct Memory Access (UDMA) hard disk controller, and the following conditions are true: a) You use a standard 40-wire connector cable to connect the UDMA drive to the controller instead of the required 80-wire, 40-pin cable. b) The basic input/output system (BIOS) settings are configured to force the faster UDMA modes.2) The file system is damaged and cannot be mounted.
The purpose of this error message is to prevent the following two things: 1) Potential data loss caused by using an incorrect IDE cable for the faster UDMA modes. An IDE cable is a kind of cable used to connect storage devices, such as hard disks, inside a computer. 2) Continued access to a drive on which the file system is damaged.

If the second parameter of the Stop error is 0xC0000032, the cause of the error is that the file system is damaged. You can try to repair the volume by inserting the Windows Start-Up/Installation Disk in the CD drive & when the 'Welcome to Set-Up' appears press R to select the repair option, and see whether this resolves the error. If the second parameter is not 0xC0000032, Check the IDE cable and load Fail-Safe default settings in the BIOS settings for your computer" then reactivate the most frequently used options, such as USB support .
If your UDMA hard disk is connected to the controller with a 40-wire UDMA cable, replace the cable with an 80-wire. regards

You can adjust turn on or adjust settings for these features on the Use the computer without the mouse or keyboard page in the Ease of Access Center. Open the Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard page by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Ease of Access, clicking Ease of Access Center, and then clicking Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard.
Select the options that you want to use:
Use On-Screen Keyboard. This option sets On-Screen Keyboard to run when you log on to Windows. On-Screen Keyboard displays a visual keyboard with all the standard keys. You can select keys using the mouse or another pointing device, or you can use keys on the standard keyboard. For more information about using On-Screen Keyboard, see Type without using the keyboard (On-Screen Keyboard).

Use Speech Recognition. The option allows you to control the computer with your voice. With a microphone, you can speak commands that the computer will understand and respond to, as well as dictate text.

The wireless keyboard and mouse are not working.

  • Check to ensure that the wireless receiver is plugged into your computer. Press the "Connect" button on the bottom of the receiver to attempt reconnecting your mouse and keyboard to the computer. If your mouse and keyboard use Bluetooth, ensure that your computer's Bluetooth is active and detects the mouse and keyboard.
  • Check to see if the keyboard and mouse are turned on. If the power indicator lights on the keyboard and mouse are not green, press the "Power" button to turn the keyboard and mouse on.
  • Check the batteries of the mouse and keyboard. If the batteries are dead, replace them with fresh batteries and reconnect the mouse and keyboard to the computer by pressing the "Connect" button on the bottom of the wireless receiver attached to the computer. If your mouse and keyboard use rechargeable batteries, let the batteries recharge before using the device again.
  • Uninstall and reinstall your wireless keyboard and mouse drivers. Sometimes, the Logitech drivers are at fault for a bad connection. Use the Control Panel to uninstall the old drivers, then visit the Logitech website and install the latest drivers for your keyboard and mouse.
  • Search the Logitech Support Database. If your keyboard and mouse are still failing to function properly, visit the Logitech Support website and browse the support page for your product for specific solutions.

I have a Dell PC and I unplugged the mouse and the keyboard temporarily to clean it. When I plugged them both back into the tower and turned on the computer, neither one worked. I tried to restart, shut...

To try to resolve the issue:
1.) Will a different keyboard and mouse work (PS2 is the name of these connections)
If they will, damage to the keyboard and mouse is likely)
2.) Will a usb mouse and keyboard work?
If they do, then the problem is with the controller on the mobo, unlikley but MAY have been casued by static.

If the USB keyboard and mouse do not work, you have some problems with the motherboard

Try switching off and unplugging the computer, remove the coin shaped BIOS battery and plug in the keyboard and mouse, wait 2 minutes or so and put the battery back, replug in and power on, see if the bios detects the keyboard and mouse (you will see the bios screen flash up a message). If the computer does nOT detect the keyboard and mouse it will (or should) flash a message on the screen saying "no PS2 keyboard or mouse detected".

If this fails to detect the mouse and keyboard and you get no message or beeps, then there may be damage to the connector ports.

If you can get a USB keyboard and mouse to work, use them, Effecting a repair to the motherboard will not be a viable option

My Trust wireless keyboard and optical mouse will not install when I start my computer

Be sure that you have new batteries installed in the keyboard and the mouse.

After booting up into windows, plug them back in and see if windows detects them, if it does detect them it should install the drivers for the mouse and keyboard. If it doesn't then go here and download the drivers for it:

http://www.trust.com/products/productdrivers.aspx?artnr=14627

If after downloading and installing the drivers the mouse or/and keyboard still doesn't work, hit the connect button on the receiver for the keyboard and mouse. Then hit the connect button on the keybyoard and mouse.

This will make sure that both the keyboard and mouse synch with one another. If they still won't work after all these steps then you know for sure that either the keyboard and/or mouse are definitely bad and would need to be replaced.

Unable to start in Safe Mode with Command Prompt in XP Media Center 2005

Hi there. My name is Alex and I am here to help solve this problem

Depending if the BIOS has legacy USB support for keyboard and mouse enabled, you should be able to run safe mode by pressing F8 before the computer boots into windows. I would not recommend going into the BIOS if you do not have much knowledge to the computer as one wrong configuration could cause some behaviour problems or even damage to the pc's components

I recommend connecting a keyboard and mouse that have cable and the PS/2 connectors (purple and green) which can be found at back of the computer at the top. Then restart your computer, hold down F8 and you will be able to run safe mode. The mouse and keyboard will then work

Keep both the keyboard and mouse plugged in and boot windows. When you get into windows, plug in the USB keyboard and mouse into a USB slot and wait whilst it detects it. After a couple of minutes you should be able to use your USB mouse and keyboard and take out the PS/2 keyboard and mouse

I hope this has helped. Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.
