My gateway series E 4100 wont start up to windows page

When I turn my computer on the first screen that pops up is saying that the keyboard and mouse is not detected and then second screen gives me start up options but I can not do anything cause it is saying there is no keyboard or mouse but they are both hooked up right and then it goes to a bright blue screen that says windows was shut down to prevent damage to my computer. Unmountable boot volume.I need to check to see if the hardware and software were properly installed. Then the last thing it says is Technical information - *** Stop 0x000000ed(0x82bc5e30, 0xc0000032, x, x) What can I do to fix the problem myself and why is it not detecting the mouse and the keyboard?

You can adjust turn on or adjust settings for these features on the Use the computer without the mouse or keyboard page in the Ease of Access Center. Open the Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard page by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Ease of Access, clicking Ease of Access Center, and then clicking Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard.
Select the options that you want to use:
Use On-Screen Keyboard. This option sets On-Screen Keyboard to run when you log on to Windows. On-Screen Keyboard displays a visual keyboard with all the standard keys. You can select keys using the mouse or another pointing device, or you can use keys on the standard keyboard. For more information about using On-Screen Keyboard, see Type without using the keyboard (On-Screen Keyboard).

Use Speech Recognition. The option allows you to control the computer with your voice. With a microphone, you can speak commands that the computer will understand and respond to, as well as dictate text.

My computer does not recognize the new keyboard

STEP 1 Go to the > Start menu and go to the Accessories tab. Under Accessibility you'll find On-Screen Keyboard. Select this option to pull up a keyboard on your screen that you can use to input text until your keyboard is fixed.
STEP 2 Navigate to the Control Panel and then find the Hardware and Sound icon. Double click it, and then select Keyboard from the utility.
STEP 3 Click on the Hardware tab and then double-click on your keyboard in the hardware profile.
STEP 4 Select the Driver tab and then select Update driver. If you are connected to the Internet, a window will pop up initiating the process. If you are not connected, another window will pop up asking you to connect before continuing.
STEP 5 Follow the prompts to install the latest drivers. Then unplug the keyboard, plug it back in, and restart the computer.

Keyboards wont work

Try hitting the Tab key from the web page address. If you can type then, it sounds like you've got a mouse pointer problem. Also try changing your search engine. Left click on the Yahoo symbol, then "Manage Search Engines" and select a different search program (Google, Amazon, e-bay, etc).

Since you can type, it's not a keyboard problem.

You may also want to try dragging your browser to a different part of your screen and trying to type with the window in a different part of the display. It's unlikely, but you may have a bad touchpad that doesn't recognize the upper right corner, so moving it to a different part of the display may isolate that problem, remote though it is.

Warning: receiver channel changed - wireless keyboard and mouse

I contacted Gaeway Support. They quickly answered and suggested that I change the batteries in my wireless mouse and/or keyboard. I did. It was the mouse. As soon as the new batteries were in, the popup went away and stayed away.
