The washmachine stop turning the drum, I opened it and struggled to take out the drum to see what the problem is

If there's no mechanicl issue then first thing I would check is the motor. Could be burnt out and if it has carbon brushes which wear out and eventually they simply lose connection tp the armature so no power can be delivered to the motor. Some brands do not supply brushes, new mmotor only. I think LG may be one of these/

Hi I've got a bosch 36 vf li and I'm struggling to open it up to change brushes. I've undone all visible screws but still struggling with top part of unit.

Have you removed the 4 gearbox screws? the cover should lift off. sometimes if a brush holder has over heated then the two halves get stuck together in places.

Kitchen Aid Mixer Model KSM5PSGR . I have had this mixer for about 15 years and recently while mixing dough, it started struggling to spin, and at some point stopped spinning. I just turned it on, and it...

it's possible the brushes on the motor are burned out. Are there 2 screw holes on the sides? You should have one on either side that look like a flathead screwdriver would fit in them? If so, inside those chambers are the brushes and springs for your motor. You can try replacing them. You should be able to order replacement brushes based on your model number(found on the bottom of your mixer). Let me know if that helps.

Hi I have a washing machine where the drum struggles to turn. Motor has had new brushes fitted. Machine spins and empties OK but for normal wash it struggles

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

You don't actually mention what make and model- although that shouldn't make too much difference to the situation ;-0)

Sorry about this but- whenever I answer problems about (belts and) motors I always say that peoples experience is that it's false economy to have just the brushes changed and not either the whole motor OR have it refurbished. When a motor is refurbished the commutator, on which the brushes run, is skimmed so that the whole profile is level i.e. the brushes are not straggling the worn centre part- the valley- but all the surface of each brush is making perfect contact with the commutator i.e. as new.
After about 18 years of life I changed the motor in our Bosch front loader, admittedly at a cost of GBP250, when it wouldn't do every cycle correctly and was intermittent.
I'm suggesting that in your case the motor might not be working at 100% efficiency.
Sorry again but I would consider replacing the motor- or at least having it refurbished if you can find somewhere to have it done.

The very best of luck,

John C

Good battery ''clean'' good starter, new selunoid.?starts most times but somtimes wont.struggles"electricly" but starts starts

You need to remove the starter and install a new set of brushes,do it soon because it will let you down when the final positive brush ceases to touch the armurature.

Brush is not rolling. I have checked the belts

Unhook the belt see if the motor shaft turns by itself. If it doesn't then the motor is the issue. If it runs then its probably the belt or the brush roll.

How do i install belt?

every Hoover I've had has two screws on the bottom that you remove.  Then you lift off the cover and you pry out the brush roller. The new belt goes with one end on the motor shaft and the other end on the humped roller part on the brush roller.  Good luck it's a bit of a struggle but you can do it.

If the motor is struggling check to see how easy it is to rotate brush by hand it is stiff to rotate the bearings in the roller may be siezed or the roller could be clogged with hair etc check it & let me know what your findings are.
