External Input Mode (for VCR features) To receive the signal from an external input (decoder, satellite receiver, video camera, another VCR etc.), connect to the AV2 (DECODER) socket, and enter "002" with numerical key pads to appear "AV2" on the TV screen.If you use the AV1 (TV) socket, enter "001" with numerical key pads to appear "AV1" on the TV screen. If you use the front AUDIO/VIDEO input jacks, enter "003" with numerical key pads to appear "AV3" on the TV screen.

How to configure 'Video 1' input to use Digital Optical connection

Connect the optical cable to the DIGITAL OPT(ical) IN connection.
Press the purple 'VIDEO' button on the remote until 'VIDEO 1' appears on the display.
Press the SYSTEM MENU button (to the right of the DVD play, pause, stop buttons).
'VIDEO1 INPUT' flashes on display.
Press ENTER
'INPUT ANALOG?' (the default) flashes on display.
Press right arrow (to right of ENTER)
'INPUT OPTICAL?' flashes on display.
Press ENTER
'INPUT OPTICAL' displays briefly, then
'VIDEO1 OPT' displays.
You are done. Selecting VIDEO 1 in future displays 'VIDEO1 OPT' instead of 'VIDEO 1'.

Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote.Tries video button on the tv front manual for video input 1 or 2.Or press the manual button channel + - couple times to enter input.If,no video button.

Hi there,
First make sure the video inputs are not locked using these instructions:
To set up the video lock:
1. Press MENU, then press or to display the LOCKS menu.
2. Press or to display the password entering mode.
3. Use the Channel Number buttons (0-9) to enter your password,
then press ENTER. The LOCKS menu appears.
4. Press or to highlight VIDEO LOCK.
5. Press or to select:
• OFF: Unlocks all video input sources.

Then it appears that choosing Video 2 using the TV/VIDEO button should enable the front input.

My macbook wont come back from sleepmode its

Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds... the computer will power off completely. Then you can restart... This problem is a result of a hard drive safety device that will lock up the computer to protect against sudden jolts and shocks... It's more evident when the power adapter isn't hooked to the computer...
When opening your macbook, keep it still, level if possible...that will make a difference...
